Some releases feel like “new arrivals”.
This one feels like the end of a chapter.

For the last 10 years, Wildflower Brewing & Blending quietly became one of Australia’s most respected mixed fermentation breweries — building a cult following through native yeast, barrel ageing, patience, and beers that often felt closer to wine than traditional craft beer.

Now, with the closure of their Marrickville Brompton Street brewery, this latest release feels especially significant. Not just another seasonal drop, but one of the final releases from the Wildflower era many people came to love.

This release includes:

— Moral Victory (Wildflower x Deya)
— 11-13 Brompton St Commemorative Blend
— Good As Gold Blend 23
— Village 2025 (Wildflower x Mountain Culture)
— St Phoebe 2025

Wildflower never really chased trends or hype. Their beers were layered, evolving, slightly wild, sometimes challenging — but always deeply thoughtful. A brewery that helped redefine what Australian mixed fermentation beer could be.

Very limited allocation now available at both Sessions at Arden and Sessions at Highett.

Once these are gone, some of these bottles may become genuinely difficult to find again.

Tokyo after dark hits different.

The last train is packed.
Neon reflections everywhere.
Salarymen loosen their ties, kitchen crews clock off, bars start to fill, and somewhere in the city, the first proper beer of the night gets cracked open.

This drop is all about that feeling.

Six of the hottest craft beers out of Japan right now — the kind of beers people in Tokyo want after a long day: bold, expressive, limited, and anything but ordinary. From sharp and vibrant sours to wildly creative hybrid styles, and the ultra-hyped hop bombs from UCHU Brewing, this lineup captures the energy of Tokyo’s after-work beer scene in one hit.

Think late-night convenience store runs, tiny standing bars, hidden taprooms, and that one beer that turns the whole day around.

And now, they’ve landed at Sessions ( North Melbourne & Highett )

We’ve also put together a 6-beer set, so you can try all six in one go — the full Tokyo after-work experience, packed into one lineup.

Very limited drop.
Once they’re gone, they’re gone.

Fresh in store now.

If you know sake, you’ll know Ohmine 3grain. It’s one of the bottles that keeps bringing people back in. The “3grain” name doesn’t mean three different rice varieties blended together — it’s part of Ohmine’s own naming system for the line. This bottle is made from 100% Yamada Nishiki with the rice polished to 50%, which is a big part of why it feels so clean, sleek and precise in the glass. Ohmine’s own notes lean into that modern, juicy style too, describing muscat-like sweetness and acidity with layered fruit and mineral character.

Then there’s the Hokkaido Yogurt liqueur, which is just ridiculously easy to love. Kitaoka Honten says it uses yogurt sourced directly from Bocca Farm in Hokkaido, and they describe it as so rich and full that your first reaction is basically, “that’s yogurt.” That’s exactly why bottles like this do so well — creamy, bright, a little indulgent, and very hard to stop at one glass.

Alongside them, we’ve also got Akanesasu, Dainagawa Tenka, SAKE DI PASTA Smooth!!, and more.

Some bottles here are polished and elegant.
Some are fresh and vibrant.
Some are just pure fun.

A very good lineup if you already love sake — and an even better one if you’re just getting started.

Now in store.

If you had asked me, “Hey Paul, what Chinese wine can you recommend?” three years ago, I would have had absolutely no idea.

Despite the fact that China had its first modern winery as early as 1892, Chinese wine received very little international recognition for more than a century.
It wasn’t until the early 2000s that a wave of boutique wineries began their journey of crafting authentic Chinese wines.

That’s why I was so impressed when Francesco first showed me the wines from Xige three years ago. They struck me as more than just carefully made wines . they were a true expression of the terroir of Ningxia, unique and interesting enough to sit confidently alongside wines from the rest of the world. 🍷🌏

We’re honoured to co-host a tasting event with Xige this Saturday from 3–6 pm, together with Brand Ambassador Christelle Chene. ✨

Chinese Craft Beer Arrival 🇨🇳🍺

A small batch of experimental craft beers from two of China’s most creative craft breweries has just landed in store.

Featuring beers from:
Shapowei Brewing (沙坡尾精酿), Xiamen – known for modern IPAs and vibrant sour ales inspired by coastal craft culture.
Sheng Craft Brewing (山乘酿造) – pushing boundaries with smoothie sours and dessert-style experimental brews.

What’s in the lineup:

🔵 马马马 – Modern West Coast IPA
Classic citrus, grapefruit and pine with a dry, crisp finish.

🟡 马上花财 – DDH Hazy Pale Ale
Explosive tropical aromatics with mango and pineapple notes.

⚪ 自然呼吸 – Sour Ale
Bright, refreshing acidity with a light citrus profile.

🥑 Avocado Engine – Fruited Smoothie Sour (3% ABV)
An experimental fruit sour inspired by creamy avocado dessert flavours.

🍈 Time Machine – Gelato Cider
A dessert-style cider featuring hami melon, mung bean and matcha.

🍠 Magic Potion – Gelato Cider
Purple yam, taro and vanilla – sweet, creamy and wildly unique.

These beers showcase a fascinating side of the modern Chinese craft beer scene – bold flavours, artistic labels and plenty of experimentation.

WHISKY FLIGHT of the month
🇯🇵 Japan vs Australia 🇦🇺

Four very different styles, one line-up — built around wood, precision, and place.

1) Chichibu “Mizunara Reserve”
Mizunara isn’t just “fancy oak” — it’s rare, porous, hard to coop, and brutally unforgiving… which is exactly why the payoff can be insane: incense-y spice, sandalwood vibes, coconut/vanilla lift, and that “Japanese oak perfume” finish.

2) Chichibu Taiwan Edition 2025 — 53.5%
A Taiwan-only bottling (840 bottles) built on bourbon barrel + virgin oak hogshead — think bright spirit + extra structure and grip from fresh oak.

3) Bakery Hill Classic Malt — 63%
The “science-teacher energy” flight anchor: methodical, no-fluff, straight-from-the-cask intensity. This 63% release is literally their highest-bottled-strength Classic (and made in tiny batches).

4) Hellyers Road Dark Harmony (Oyster Stout Cask) — 54.7%
Tasmanian single malt aged 8 years in American oak, then finished in an oyster stout cask (Dark Harmony #4, collab series). Dark, savoury, stouty richness meets coastal-malt power.

$35 to try all 4.
Available every day until end of March (or until we run out).
