Community Notice

Today we acknowledge the passing of Bakamumu Marika AM.

As our community comes together during this difficult and evolving time, Yirrkala Community Store will close today (Tuesday 4 August) at 3:00pm.

We appreciate your patience and understanding as we continue to navigate the needs of our grieving community.

We will provide further updates to our trading hours if needed.

Our thoughts are with the Marika family, the Rirratjingu Aboriginal Corporation, our community, and all those impacted by this loss, near and far.

🌿 Happy Garma Weekend!

We know many of our community are out enjoying Garma, while others are welcoming visitors from near and far. We hope everyone has a safe, enjoyable weekend full of connection and celebration.

Just a small update from us at Yirrkala Community Store – we’ll be taking a short break too, and will be closed Sunday and Monday.

🥗 Fresh is the theme this week at Yirrkala Community Store! 🌿

If you haven't popped in lately, here's what's filling the shelves...

🥩 Whole Kilcoy Ebony Angus rumps have landed.
🥩 Grass-fed beef – fresh or frozen, including rump steak, scotch, T-bone, stir-fry, chuck ribs and mince.
🍖 Frozen whole roast lambs and kangaroo tails.
🍞 Fresh bread in store daily from Peninsula Bakery.
🥬 Beautiful salad packs including rocket, mesclun mix and baby spinach.
🥪 Our kitchen is also pumping out fresh sandwiches, salads and fruit tubs every day.

🌱 We're also lucky to have Yirrkala Farm dropping in with local produce. To make sure there's always plenty available between farm deliveries, we also stock fresh fruit and vegetables from Darwin, giving you a consistent range every time you visit.

Whether you're grabbing lunch, stocking up for dinner or just seeing what's new, there's plenty of fresh options waiting for you.

We're back to normal trading today, with the Yirrkala Community Store open 9:00am – 2:00pm.

🎉 These updates just keep rolling...

Good news! Following our update from earlier today, we're pleased to let everyone know the Yirrkala Community Store will be OPEN today from 11:00am to 2:00pm.

Thank you for your patience and understanding while we took the time to make sure we were ready. Looking after our community means making the right decisions, even when they're not always the easiest.

We can't wait to welcome everyone back through the doors today. See you soon! 💙
