Today I found myself in the vicinity of and I thought to myself…….you really need to stop by and check out their small but growing range of pet-nats, it’s market research is it not???
Instantly draw to a label I didn’t recognise, very cool. And then I was slightly shocked……..the producer ……..a pet-nat from one of the big boys!!! How fabulous! So of course now I had to purchase at least one to try….again, market research.
And happy days! It’s great! A ferocious fizz. Fruity grapefruit, guava, peach and strawberries notes. Crisp and dry and amazing colour

We love dogs and we love wine! 🥂🍾🥰🐶🐾❤️
Who doesn’t? 🤷🏻‍♀️
We especially love as they are obviously kindred spirits. Amazing wines all named after their four legged fur babies!
My absolute fav is the Disco Puppy 2 Pet-Nat. A delicious Sauv Blanc with loads of gooseberry and peach, and fab fizz! $28 and selling quickly.
Jeremy’s favourite is the Ruby Rosé. A summery blend of Grenache and Syrah. Think strawberry lemonade, lovely! $25 and only a few left
And I will always have a soft spot for Pippa! The first Pet-Nat I tried from winemaker Cron. This fresh and dry Fiano is peachy punch and buttery popcorn…..delish! $30 and nearly gone 😢

A brilliant Sunday wouldn’t you agree? For us it was a quick (wine pick up) trip to the Hunter Valley, and plenty delicious Autumn sunshine to soak up. The only thing that could possibly improve this day is the addition of Bianco Pet-Nat! 🤍🤍🤍
This sunshiny Pet-Nat is 50% Fiano and 50% Greco. With or without food, with or without friends to share with, this Bianco is perfect!

Now available from the website! Maison De Turps 2021 L’hypocrite 💥💥💥
This first release Pet-Nat from is freaking amazing! A lifted but textural blend of 70% Shiraz and 30% Pinot Gris 🤗
It’s a complex little number with dried and sweet cherry, raspberry, Meyer lemon and orange rind. Beautifully aromatic, with great body and fabulous fizz! And very reasonably priced at $27 per bottle, what’s not to love! 🍾🥂🥰🌈🦄

Well, the temperature has plummeted, it’s blowing a gale, and the rain has been torrential, all a tad depressing………OR is it????
Because it sounds like perfect Pet-Nat weather to me! 🤗

l’hypocrite is a blend of Shiraz and Pinot Gris, guaranteed to please! I get crisp candy apple and tart green apple all at the same time, with a splash of red berry. Fabulously dry with great fizz! 🍾🥂😍🌈🦄

Yesterday I found myself just down the road from . And I thought to myself……it would be almost rude not to drop by and admire their impressive selection of Pet-Nats. Call it market research 🧐
So I find myself admiring the impressive display, and realise, it would DEFINITELY be rude not to purchase something. So what am I to do???
My choice 2021 Riesling Pet-Nat did not disappoint! Great fizz, loads of lemon with a hint of salt. A nice super dry finish. I’m thinking of simple whiting fillets with lemon butter, or maybe white bait fritters!?!
Anyway I am now obsessed with Gilbert Family Wines and must get my hands on some to share with you. Will keep you posted!

Indulgent???
Why, yes it is!!!🥂🍾🥰🎉🦄🌈
Pet-Nat is a delicious and clever blend of the traditional champagne varieties. Chardonnay, Pinot Meunière and Pinot Noir. Sounds fabulous and it is! 🤩💛
For me it’s stewed apple and pear, and brioche, and a satisfyingly crisp dry finish.
It makes me think of dessert! 🤔🤗
It’s all about good cheese, if you are asking hard or soft, I would say have both!
But if you have a sweet tooth I have to say vanilla bean ice cream, plus anything you love to eat with ice cream.
I still have a few of this incredible Pet-Nat in stock, and it’s a must try if you are a lover of natty wines. Once gone they are gone, because if history is our guide, I suspect the James Becker will be producing something completely different for 2022!

Please remember that my opinions are uneducated ones. I am I wine lover, definitely not a wine expert. 😘

The almost constant rainy weather atm can make some of us a little melancholy 😢
Luckily, I have found the remedy to combat the dull skies and low mood…..skin contact!
Yes, of course a hug is fab, but skinsy wine is what I’m talking about! 🧡🧡🧡
