Today was a very upsetting day for our small family business.
If anyone knows this gentleman, please let him know that he owes an apology to Mt Annan Newsagency, especially to the lovely lady who was working this afternoon.
Around $450 worth of Willow Tree figures were broken in store, but what hurt the most was not the damage — it was the way our staff member was treated afterwards. No apology was given, and rude words were directed at someone who was simply doing her job.
Mt Annan Newsagency has proudly served this community for over 25 years, and the current owners have dedicated around 10 years to looking after our local customers. In all that time, we have never felt the need to make a public post like this before.
We are a small local family business, not a large company. Every item in our store matters, and most importantly, our staff matter. They work hard every day to provide friendly service to our community and deserve to be treated with basic kindness and respect.
To our loyal customers and locals who continue to support us — thank you. Your kindness, support, and understanding mean more to us than you know.
Please support small businesses and remember that a few kind words can make a big difference.
