Sourcing from an enviable spread of vineyards across the appellation — from Bourgogne Tonnerre to Grand Cru Bougros — the Lavantureux style is defined by precision, purity and a gentle hand in the cellar.

Such a pleasure to have in store last night for our masterclass discussing all things Gaja, one of the most iconic wine companies in the world.

It was a fascinating insight into Gaja’s rich history, family and path to greatness via its four properties - Idda, Pieve Santa Restituta, Ca’Marcanda and of course Gaja.

The wines looked superb and truly do reward the patient as evidenced by a breathtaking 1989 Barbaresco. Just sublime.
