Current Uncertainty with Fuel Supplies
Due to world events fuel deliveries over the next few weeks may be disrupted. To help preserve supplies and prevent individuals stock pilling, fuel is now only available during shop hours. That is; our 24/7 service has been temporarily switched off. We discourage the filling of jerry cans except 5 litre containers.
If travelling we suggest you fuel up whenever you can to keep your tanks full.

TO OUR CUSTOMERS
LOCH SPORT GENERAL STORE & POST OFFICE

The old shop, art gallery and post office have been demolished!! So sad to see it go, but looking forward to watching a new building emerge. A picture of the new façade is on the wall as you enter the shop. The build may still take up to 12 weeks depending on weather and supplies.

Our re-located Post Office and shop appear to be working well. We continue to operate during normal times as much as practical. Access to the shop and PO is via the driveway on the left-hand side of the building and down the walkway to the right. No roses lining the way, though that really would have looked good!!!

Please do not hesitate to ask for what you are after, as we still have stock in the back area not easily seen.

We are still open for fuel; Diesel, PULP and ULP 24/7. Fuel experienced some disruption during demolition. The driveway under the portico is still blocked off, so all PULP and ULP is via the outside driveway. We request customers take extra care when fuelling during the works.

The laundry has not been affected by the works and operates as usual. The key is still collected from the shop.

Any suggestions on current operations, especially signage and hazards are very welcome.

The construction area is extremely hazardous. Unfortunately, the wind has not been kind to the construction fence over the last week!! Nevertheless, the construction area continues to be off bounds for everyone except construction workers and other authorized personal. We have greatly appreciated your cooperation with this.

Power Outage on 30 August 2025
We will be open for normal operating hours during the power outage planned for 8.0am to 4.00pm.

The safety fences have gone up and we are not far away from starting our exciting renovations.

PLEASE NOTE THAT PETROL and DIESEL are STILL AVAILABLE 24 hours a day and will remain available throughout the renovations

However the petrol bowsers will only be accessible from one side at this time.

TUESDAY 26th August

Please note that from approx. 7.30am Tuesday morning the front of the general store will be undergoing a partial demolition - workers will be removing any asbestos on the property. We are unsure how long this process will take to complete, though it will be completed by the end of the day.

We have been informed that we will not be required to shut the shop during this process as we are a safe distance from the asbestos removal. HOWEVER if you are at all uncomfortable at the thought of being in proximity to any asbestos removal we do recommend that you either wear a mask if attending the store or perhaps delay your visit to the store until Wednesday.

Loch Sport General Store has begun to make some changes in preparation for our exciting renovations

The General Store and Post office will be OPEN throughout the renovations, however the ENTRANCE is now located via the side entrance, Parking is available on the grassed area at the left of the building through the double gates.

Fuel will still be available 24 Hours

As we will now have limited space some stock will be located at the back of the store, if you cant find what you are looking for please ask our friendly staff members and they will endeavor to assist you

There will be a period of approximately 3 days when the shop will be closed, this will be during the demolition of the existing shop front. A date for this has not yet been confirmed.

Due to some minor works at the General Store this morning petrol will be unavailable until the works have been completed, hopefully later today.

Entry to the General Store and Post office will be via the side entrance, parking is available in the grassed area behind the front fence

Loch Sport General Store gets a Facelift

Yes its Happening!

We have our planning and building permits and are ready to go.
We are moving the shop and Post Office into the rear of the building, so we can continue to trade as the front section is rebuilt.
The site will be completely closed for 1 to 3 days during the demolition.
Dates and details will be announced once confirmed.
