For Chapter I of the Amatos Tour of Little Italy, we’re bringing Viberti of Barolo to Le Montage, Leichhardt for a one-night-only dinner celebrating the hills of Piemonte.

Chapter I — A Taste of Piedmont: Viberti

Mission: find Claudio Viberti.
So naturally… Franc flew all the way to Barolo✈️

This June, we’re bringing the hills of Piemonte to Le Montage, Leichhardt for the first dinner of our Tour of Little Italy series — a four-course dinner paired with the wines of the illustrious Viberti family.

And yes… there will be Barolo.
Not one. Not two. But THREE Viberti Barolos open for tasting on the night. 🍷🍷🍷

But what truly makes this evening special is Claudio himself — an incredible winemaker, but somehow an even better storyteller. The kind of person who can make a room feel like you’re sitting right in the heart of Barolo with him.

Introducing the Amato’s Tour of Little Italy - a four-part dining series celebrating Italian food, wine, beer & culture across Leichhardt as we lead into our 50th year. For 49 years, Leichhardt has been our home ❤️ And as we head towards 50 years, we wanted to celebrate with the people who have supported us all along - right here in our home base.

This series is our way of celebrating the community, culture and generations of support we’ve been lucky enough to experience - all through the thing Italians do best: food, drinks & bringing people together.

Just a reminder we stock hundreds of FULLY IMPORTED EUROPEAN BEERS 🇮🇹🇨🇿🇩🇪🇫🇷🇮🇪 🍺✈️

FYI all beers featured in this reel that was drunk and enjoyed from Europe we (mostly) stock!!

1. Kilkenny - Not being imported at the moment 😭
2. Guinness - We have the imported (from the land of the green 🍀) 440ml cans
3. Kronenbourg 1664 - We currently have both the 500ml cans and 330ml btts 👀
4. Staropramen - We currently have the 330ml btts 🍺
5. Radler - We currently have 3 different imported Radlers 😱
6. Forst - Unfortunately this one can only be enjoyed in Alto Adige (prayers and sorrows) 🇮🇹

If you know, you know 👀

Same producer, completely different wines… here’s the breakdown 🍷

1. Sessantanni Primitivo - Rich plum, dried fig and sweet spice, with hints of vanilla from oak ageing.
2. F Negroamaro - Darker fruits like blackberry and black cherry, with notes of cocoa and a slight earthy bitterness.
3. Anniversario 62 - Deeper and more complex, showing dark berries, cacao, to***co and warm baking spice.
4. Cinquanta - A blend with layers of ripe cherry, plum and a touch of spice. Smooth, rounded and easy to drink 🇮🇹
