💙🏁 RACING FOR MORE THAN JUST A CHEQUERED FLAG — THE STEVEN WHEELER MEMORIAL 🏁💙

This Saturday, 112 drivers will roll through the gates at Ian Boettcher Race Parts Kingaroy Speedway, but there’s one honour that every single one of them will have the opportunity to race for — the SunPork Group Steven Wheeler Memorial.

The night is first and foremost about remembering Steven “Ice Cream” Wheeler and keeping his name and his connection to our speedway community alive.

Steven was a familiar face to many around the sport and also had a strong connection with Swickers, where he was a former employee, which makes having SunPork Group behind his Memorial particularly special.

The Memorial is also a little different to a normal feature race.

Rather than belonging to one particular division, every driver across all six classes is eligible to win it. Points are accumulated through their heats and feature racing, and once the final chequered flag falls, the driver with the highest points total for the night will be crowned the 2026 SunPork Group Steven Wheeler Memorial winner.

So whether you’re in a Modified Sedan, Production Sedan, Street Stock, Junior Sedan or National 4, you’re racing for the same honour.

It means plenty to us to see such a huge field coming together for Steven’s Memorial, and we’re looking forward to seeing who adds their name to it on Saturday night.

A massive thank you again to SunPork Group for helping us continue to honour Steven and keep the Memorial going.
