From humble beginnings as a family owned and operated business, established in 2002, Mawson Sheepskin and Opals is located in the heart of the Hobart Waterfront.

Mawson Sheepskin and Opals provide for tourists from around the world gathering souvenirs from their time in Tassie, to celebrities such as Kate Ceberano, Serena Williams, to Royalty such as Princess Mary of Denmark.

The business is also very dedicated to looking after their locals when it comes to their ugg-boots and sheepskin footwear needs by customising, repairing and providing special deliveries to aged care homes and disabled individuals. They also specialise in a unique range of hand picked opals, and opal jewellery. The jam-packed shop itself has been called “an Aladdin’s cave of wonderfully unique and useful gifts” while being the leading souvenir shop in Tasmania.
