Good morning, A significant delay to delivery of mail and parcels to Heathcote Post Office has occurred this morning with an expected completion of sorting by around 11am. It would be of great assistance if your attempt to collect a parcel was held until after 11am.

Apologies for any inconvenience caused.

In other news, Australia Post is cracking down on fraudulent postage products, often found in sites like eBay. We ask customers to avoid purchasing stamps and other postage products through 3rd party websites, especially if they are selling for less than face value. It is likely these products are stolen or fraudulent and may not be valid.

Starting from Monday 22nd of September, business customers will once again be able to send parcels to the USA, but only once they have registered with Zonos to ensure duties are able to be paid.
In-store assessment for USA parcels outside of the current exceptions should begin on or before Tuesday the 7th of October and will include an in-store collection of duties.

Please note that extra details on the customs declaration are still required. We need a Detailed Description, HS Tariff No, Value (AUD$) and Country of Origin for each item in your parcel and this is still applicable for every country for the time being.

Hi all

You may have seen on the news recently that posting to the USA has been restricted due to the new tariffs.

Australia Post is working through the changes required, but right now we can only accept letters, documents with no value and parcels declared as gifts worth under $100 total.

As part of these changes, all parcels must have accurately declared Descriptions, HS Tariff No, Value (AUD$) and Country of Origin. This is required for all countries right now while everyone is adapting.

If you provide detailed descriptions, we can help you with the HS Tariff Code during lodgement. This means you need to include things like the material for clothes (e.g Cotton T-Shirt) or the category for things like books (E.g Children's Book).

You can prepare your customs form in advance at https://auspost.com.au/prepare-customs-declaration

In other news, more parcels are being delivered directly to your house. If you see a notification stating your "Parcel is Coming Today", or is "Onboard for Delivery", it means your parcel is being delivered to your house or letterbox. If the parcel has been "Delivered" it means it has already been collected from the Post Office, or it has been delivered directly to your Letterbox, House or PO Box.

More than ever, the highly rated AusPost app will help you keep track of your parcels. In the app you will get verified & authentic tracking and notifications for when your parcel is:
- Still on it's way, elsewhere in the network
- Onboard for Delivery (with a estimated delivery window)
- Delivered - Heathcote LPO (Already collected from the Post Office)
- Delivered to PO Box (inside the PO Box)
- Delivered (to your house or letterbox, often with a picture!)
- Awaiting Collection (at the Post Office or Parcel Locker)

The notifications and tracking you receive through the app will always be verified & legitimate, without any of the frequent scam messages we often see through emails and SMS. It also helps the environment by removing the need for you to receive a paper card.

The app is also the most convenient way to manage your AusPost account, delivery preferences, redirect a parcel or authorise collection by someone else.

More information on the app is available at https://auspost.com.au/about-us/about-our-site/australia-post-app
