Luckily this old Bordeaux was still singing compared to our extraction techniques.
What a wine, Chateau Gruaud Larose 1983, from Saint-Julien.
It kept getting better and better in the glass!
These old relics are truly remarkable!

Sharing Sami-Odi with someone who’s never tried it before…
There’s something special about that moment.
You pour.
They take the first sip.
And the room just… shifts.
No big speeches needed.
Just pure, precise Barossa Syrah that somehow tastes both ancient and alive at the same time.
Old vine intensity without the weight. Fragrance, tension, that quiet electricity that makes people go quiet for a second.
Watching and hearing Grubby’s reaction after trying Sami-Odi for the first time is almost as good as drinking it yourself.
Some bottles are meant to be shared.
This is one of them.
