Temporary Hours This Saturday
Hey everyone! Just a quick heads-up!
Essential Energy has a planned power outage this Saturday, so we’ll be making the most of a shorter trading day.
🕕 Open: 6:30am – 1:30pm
🍳 Last food orders: 12:30pm sharp
We’ll be back to our normal trading hours on Sunday.
Looks like we’ll be forced to take a half-day off… we promise to make the most of it (maybe even remember what an afternoon nap feels like 🥱).

🐔 It’s a chook‑and‑seafood kind of Easter! 🐔🦐
We'll be cooking chooks all Easter weekend because, let’s be honest, no one ever said “I wish this weekend had less chook.” 😄
There’ll be hot chooks, but they’ll be limited, so the early birds may win this one.
And for the planners among us, cold chooks will also be hanging around 🐣
We’ll also have seafood baskets on deck, each one packed with:
🐟 1 battered fish fillet
🐠 2 fish cocktails
🦑 3 calamari
🦑 3 salt & pepper squid
🦐 2 prawn cutlets

Remember that very first post where I said, “If there’s anything you’d like me to stock, just ask and I’ll try”?
Well, you took me up on it, and I’m so glad you did!
A couple of lovely customers asked for Norco fresh lactose free milk and organic milk, and now they’re both on the shelves. I’ve also added a few extra specialty milks! We now have cream top, non-homogenised, and 2 litre Norco strawberry and chocolate milk for the sweet tooths out there 🍓🍫
It really means a lot being able to stock the things you actually want, so thank you for the suggestions and for supporting the store.

And on the hot food front.... I cooked double the hot chooks and potato bakes today, and they still sold out! They’ll be back again tomorrow, fresh and ready to go.

Thanks as always for supporting local! It really does mean a lot. 🥰
