Doors locked and what a ripper last night. Thanks to all those who popped by, had a bevie or three, cleaned us out and made us cry. Thanks to Dj Idolator aka Noel and mates on the vinyl 🎶 and the impromptu speeches (felt like a wedding mmmm or funeral 😆)… what a final night to bookend the years. Some of my fav peeps and folk all hanging and giggling up a storm.

You are a pretty special community and so hope a funky soul can see the potential of this corner.

Forever in our hearts - Flemmo, Travancore and Ascot Vale but time now to get the nights & weekends back baby. Woohooooooo 🦊🌼

Salute to the final Friday for our corner & cheers to this little Sangiovese winner as sip of the week lately 🍷.

Our locals have been loving this unfined, unfiltered gem from the Clare Valley. Sourced from one of Daisy’s fav wine reps, importer and head banging metal loving 🎸 Felix Riley as “Juicy, soft and slurpable, a mid-weight expression with an array of cherry flavours and gentle tannins, absolutely made for pizza 🍕!!!”

Felix- we will miss your rad wine and Rosé loving ways. Thanks for all the years of indie wine splash and dashes .. and for being in our corner always!

Booked out inside tonight and mostly tomorrow with a smattering of early arvo or outside seats if keen (rug up 🥶). Eliza will do her best with small batch pizzas but pre-bookings solidly snapped up early.

Bottle Shop Wine is also thinning out but still a few available to wet the whistle 🦊🌼

Daisy .. & the long lost Fox are calling a looong last drinks as we commence our pack down and new beginnings out amongst the gums.

Many of our locals know that it’s been a juggle to manage three jobs across sectors and keep the corner alive with the oomph and time it needs for a local neighbourhood corner to buzz along during a pandemic. We tried to find a new owner who could see the vision but all fell through so it’s TIME now to say goodbye.

With the start of 2022 being awkward, new projects asking for bigger hours and hospo challenges, we’ve decided to say farewell and send gratitude to all our loyal supporters and visitors across the years.

It’s been a hoot, a tricky, sticky and icky time during lock down but mostly we’ve loved the generous nature of many of the community who treat us like family. THAT is the hardest part- not seeing the hooks ups, break ups, bubbas, new jobs, PUPPIES and life events that we have witnessed in this corner.

The Foxy team will be here for the next week for dine in and possibly a few pop up bottle shops days to sell our indie wine and craft beer (although the Fox is keen to store it at home 😉) through early May, so keep an eye on socials for updates and a BIG forever thank you to those souls who played a big part in this corner (you know who you are!)

As the clouds brew above & we retreat undercover, this single vineyard red from Yarra Valley has been a well priced hit amongst our Cab Sauv lovers. Elegant. Polished. Feet up by the fire perfection.🔥 🍷

Daisy swings open our corner doors from 3pm today with dine in spots available early & inside booked solid from 6pm. Plenty outside if feeling brave - rug up folks, winter is definitely coming 🌦. Plenty of pizza spots up for grabs Saturday & nxt week (Thur-Sat)- get in while pizzas are still spinning …❤️🍕🍷

Random Friday fun fact: Camellia flowers are often seen as a symbol of love, adoration, and longing. So as they start to bloom, pluck a couple for people we love, mates,dates or just for your lovely self. 🌺

Back in our corner today after Alpine Valley getaways where cheese and tasting was a gourmet highlight- pencil it in for your future Bright trips 🏕 🍷

Bar & Bottle Shop open from 3pm with independent wine & craft beer available that’s not found in the big chains
🙏our cook is back in full health, so we’re able to offer our 24hr ferment small batch pizzas again for the next couple of weeks (Thurs- Sat from 5pm). We’ll keep you posted about what’s next.

The Foxy Brendan is in our Bottle Shop and corner from 3-7.30pm today.

Due to COVID impacts still causing cartwheels and skips with staffing, we’ll resume “dine in” for our locals next Wednesday 27th April when all the key team are back in full health.

Life is good when the sun keeps promising to shine ☀️ & even better is the new vintage Pinot Noir is back on our shelves in time for Easter holiday plans.

Our loyal Foxy supporters have been counting down the days for this outstanding Pinot to arrive back in our corner and it’s now available for takeaway or dine in.

Our doors will be closed from Good Friday (license requirement) & re-opening Thurs 21st, so love to see you for your holiday bevie plans with plenty of delish indie drops and brews available for camping, getaways or just mooching home for a stay-cay.

Daisy is off to Bright camping & the rest of the team are taking this opportunity to take a break with family and enjoy the Autumn vibes. 🍁🏕🍷 After two years of lockdowns- can’t wait!!
