An in-store syndicate is a ready-made group entry that we put together here in the store. It's one larger entry split into shares, so instead of buying the whole thing, you buy a share of it. If the entry picks up a prize, it's divided between everyone in the syndicate based on how many shares they hold.

The nice thing is there's nothing for you to organise. No chasing friends for money or keeping track of who's paid, it's all set up and ready to go. Oz Lotto has a $20 million jackpot this Tuesday 6 October, so it feels like a good week to explain one of the ways to play that people often ask us about at the counter.

With a standard Oz Lotto game, you choose 7 numbers. With a System entry, you choose more than 7, and your entry covers every possible combination of 7 from the numbers you've picked. So a System 8 means you choose 8 numbers, which works out to 8 games. A System 9 covers 36 games, all built from your 9 numbers.

Because your numbers are spread across all those games, the same drawn numbers can match in more than one of them. That means a single System entry can collect prizes across several games or divisions at once. The flip side is that more games means a higher entry price, so have a chat with our team and we'll help you find a System size that suits your budget.
