We have consistently strived to maintain fair pricing, and we understand that recent fuel prices may have caused concern. Please be assured that we are making every effort to remain competitive, although this has become increasingly difficult.

As an independent business, we do not have the ability to stockpile fuel at discounted rates as larger companies can. Our purchases and sales are based on daily market prices, which subjects us to frequent fluctuations. At present, we are selling fuel at nearly cost price, which is unsustainable for our operations. I know, some other Metro service stations are able to sell fuel slightly cheaper than us as they are company owned and not owned by independent owners so they can afford to lose more than us to stay competitive with larger companies.

We do not take any satisfaction in passing on higher prices to our customers. We are actively negotiating with fuel suppliers to secure better rates so we can return to offering the competitive prices you expect from Metro Doyalson.
