The depth of quality in this month’s panel made narrowing down the final 12 selections seriously difficult.

ISSUE 18 of our Tasting Panel Newsletter is out now, and it’s an absolute belter 🍷

With a focus on Autumn-friendly reds and whites, our judges gathered once again to blind taste over 35 wines and scored these wines based on colour, aroma, and taste.

After all scores were finalised and averaged— we had our top 12 wines that we felt delivered incredible value for money.

Elegant, expressive, unmistakably Pemberton, and back in stock🍷

The Pannell Family Pinot Noir 2024 from Picardy is another beautifully crafted release from one of WA’s most respected Pinot producers.

Sourced from mature Pemberton vines, this vintage shows vibrant cherry and wild strawberry fruit layered with subtle spice, gentle earthiness and fine savoury detail. Silky in texture with bright natural acidity, it carries plenty of freshness while still delivering depth and structure.

There’s a purity and finesse to this wine that makes it incredibly easy to enjoy now, but enough complexity to keep Pinot lovers coming back for another glass.

The new South by South West 2025 Fiano is another cracking release from Liv and Mij, inspired by their time in and winemaking in Italy and namely, Sicily.

Bright citrus, tropical fruit and floral lift jump out of the glass, while the palate brings layers of lemon curd, subtle savoury notes and that signature textural feel Fiano is loved for.

Naturally fermented and matured across a mix of oak, ceramic and stainless steel, it strikes a beautiful balance between freshness, complexity and drinkability.

The Atze’s Corner “Bachelor” Shiraz 2022 is a great example of what Barossa does best — bold, generous and full of flavour. The follow up to the amazing and highly awarded 2021, we believe this vintage is even better!

Packed with ripe dark berries, plum and a touch of spice, it’s rich without being over the top, with smooth tannins and a rounded finish that makes it seriously easy to enjoy.

There’s plenty of depth here, but it never loses that drinkability — A solid go-to Shiraz that delivers every time.
