Hello apple ppl. I have a box of cripps pink (pink lady) that is leftover from a crush that is too small for me to use effectively. Roughly 8kg. Juicing grade from Batlow Fruit Co-op they haven’t been sprayed with any enzyme or fungicide. Yours for $10 if you want to make a 5litre batch.

Send me a message if you’re interested. They will need to be gone from mine by Thursday.

Birthday festival cook that I’ve had to make myself. Too much of an expensive cut of beef to rely upon the kids getting involved. Love a beef wellington and this the third of them I’ve ever made. YUM! 56c internal probe temp before another 30min rest.

Soooo good.

Whole family smashed it down including fussy youngest whom are the mushroom duxelles without complaint.

Ready for Batlow cider festival for I think the sixth time. Cracker of a day #2614

What a great way to start the ANZAC day public holidays than baking ANZAC biscuits using the really old CWA recipe we have. They always come out amazingly!

One cup each of flour, caster sugar, rolled oats. 3/4 cup desiccated coconut. 125g of butter, 2tbl of golden syrup, one tsp bicarb and one tbl of cold water.

Mix all dry ingredients into a mixing bowl, melt butter and golden syrup together. Mix water and bicarb. When butter and syrup is fully melted, quickly whisk in the water/bicarb and the add to dry ingredients. Mix all together and roll golf ball sized bits of the dough onto a tray. Flatten slightly and bake in 180c oven for approx ten to twelve minutes. Cool and enjoy.

When you finally get the keeve to fully work in your conical fermenter after four seasons of trying. First pic is the chapeau which I’ll get rid of tomorrow and then you can see the very clear lightly fermenting cider on the side of it. Running at 10c
