Happy Saturday beautiful people. It has been a week of self care, family, business and networking.
I believe in the power of collaboration and connections means building community of like minded people.
As a sole business owner and entrepreneur, discovering ways to overcome challenges is an everyday experience but rewarding too.
One of my discoveries is recently sharing my current painpoints with others about the work I am doing with my chiropractor to correct misalignment in my body. The trick is to see if this specialist is the right fit, just like anything, you have to give it a shot.
So being put on a 12 week course, attending twice weekly is out of pocket expense but also I feel I have to do the work like daily stretching, doing somatic yoga and going on long walks is making a difference. It’s a commitment to self as I see my birthday approaching every year.
Also i am looking forward to giving Robyn from my BNI networking organisation who is a Remedial wellness therapist that specialises in Finch therapy a try because I believe in the work she does.
This week I have realised that through conversations with fellow friends and strangers it seems that other’s too are experiencing symptoms of physical pain and mobility issues of the body that may sometimes be an annoying and on-going problem.
Sharing with others what it means for me investing in getting treatment is all about ease of mind, health and wellbeing.
It’s interesting for me because our background culture shows that most males don’t talk about personal issues however it’s important to recognise that there is nothing wrong in sharing stories because someone may know something you didn’t know and really no one should have to suffer alone. At the end of the day, we’re all human beings.
Having said that, networking is a powerful tool because it’s someone you know that can have a huge impact and create a difference. Being intentional such as asking questions is an integral aspect of communication and holds space for someone to feel comfortable to share their stories.
Have a blessed weekend.
