What grows together, goes together.

That’s a little rule we come back to whenever we’re pairing wine and food.

Wines have shared the table with local dishes for centuries. Same seasons, same soils, same hands behind them. It makes sense they’d belong together.

Alsace? Pour a Gewurztraminer with onion tart or Munster cheese.

Southern Rhône? Think grilled lamb or tapenade. Anything herby and warm.

Champagne? Try it with oysters… or potato chips (you have to try 😊)

Loire Valley? Fresh goat. Nothing better.

Languedoc-Roussillon? Lentils, hard cheeses, big-hearted food for big-hearted wines.

You don’t need a rulebook. Just a little curiosity. 🧐

And maybe a bottle or two grown with care. 🍷😄

Lately we’ve had a few friends ask:

“What should I open this winter? Something nice, but not over the top.”

So we made a little list. Just a few bottles we’ve been reaching for lately.

They’re wines for the table to pour with roast chicken, with cheese, with a wool jumper and good company.

Whoever said white wine wasn’t for winter clearly never met La Vigne en Rose. 🌹

Candle lit. Dried flowers curled just right. And a glass of this biodynamic beauty in hand.

It’s 85% Gewurztraminer, 15% Riesling, and 100% unexpected - floral and citrusy, with just a whisper of grip from a gentle maceration.

Think rose petals, lychee, pink grapefruit, and a minerality that feels like walking barefoot on frosty earth.

White wine. Cold night. Heart full

Red vs Orange 🍷🍊

Both are made by fermenting grapes with their skins — but the grapes (and timing) change everything.

🍇 Red wine = red grapes + long maceration = big, bold, tannic

🍊 Orange wine = white grapes + shorter maceration = textured, golden, aromatic.

One’s your classic winter comfort.The other’s a bold surprise that loves strong cheese and deep convos.
