LATE MODEL CHAMPIONSHIP READY FOR T-BAR

Last night at the Speedway Australia Awards in Brisbane, Late Model Australia delegates met with the host of the 2026 Australian Late Model Championship.

Last night at Maryborough speedway seen us complete our 2024/25 season! It was a super hooked up track! It made it a little tricky to navigate, but the boys got the job done! Thank to Rachael and Maryborough speedway crew for putting the night on! Plus we got to turn some laps with one veterans of the sport Frank Armstrong! after 10 years in retirement he came out like a bull at the gate 😀show us how it was done! Feature time! The biys were off to a great start with Nathan Battersby out the front with Daniel Bennett hot on his heels, and look like to be off to a cacker! But unfortunately Bennett got a flat on the 2nd lap! Nathan brought it home to a convincing win! With frank in 2nd followed by Wayne Anderson in 3rd!

With the Late Models returning to Kingaroy Speedway for the Showdown @ The Show, last start winner Nathan Battersby has confirmed he’ll be returning as well.

Nathan drove a great race in the feature biding his time and taking the lead with just over a lap to go and will be looking to bring the confidence from last time with him.

Catch the Late Models along with the SSA National 4's QLD Title, Street Stocks 20/20, Modified Sedans and Production Sedans at the Kingaroy Show on Sunday the 4th of May‼️

Hey guys and girls! Sorry for the delay! But a quick recap on the Queensland title last weekend!
An absolute fantastic fast night of racing! Firstly Todd Bayley set the QuickTime in qualifying and was so close to a lap record! All the boys battled it out through the heats! Feature time and Ryan Harris had prepared an awesome trck for us! We had Todd Bayley and Daniel Cassidy starting off the front row! Todd took off to a good lead, but unfortunately Todd lost a tailshaft knocking him out of the race! Cassidy moved up into P1 and lead the rest of the race! Bringing it home to a convincing win! Followed closely by Alex Sweeney in P2 with Brad Pasco nearly tearing the fence down in P3! The feature was fast and amazing! Thank you for all the drivers, fans and volunteers making the journey to Toowoomba Speedway and making the night great!

The Showdown @ The Show race meeting sees the return of the V8 Late Models to Kingaroy Speedway on Sunday the 4th of May‼️

They put on an unbelievable night of racing earlier in the season and we don’t expect anything less when they come back and with an expected big crowd in conjunction with the Kingaroy Show, it’s going to an exciting night!
