🎉 A Special Milestone for the Bindoon General Store 🎉
This year, the Bindoon General Store celebrates an incredible 90 years of serving our local community — and I couldn’t let the moment pass without sharing something close to my heart.
Although I (Stacy) no longer work at the store, it will always hold a special place in my life and I wanted to use it to shine a light on this amazing milestone — and on the person who’s kept it all going for the last 22 years: Steve.
For over two decades, Steve has opened the doors for over 10 hours a day, 7 days a week, with no holidays and just two days off a year. That kind of commitment is rare — and it's all been for the love of Bindoon and the people in it. ❤️ He has been a great boss and it shows from how long the staff stay and then return.
From kangaroos 🦘 to cartons 🍺 wildlife 🦎 to wines 🍷 — this store is a time capsule in itself. A place where stories live, memories are made, It’s seen generations of locals and continues to be a cornerstone of our little community.
Thank you to everyone who’s supported the store over the years. Whether you’re a regular or just popped in once on your way through town, you’ve helped keep a proud piece of Bindoon history alive. I thought Id share some pics of all the fun and antics from the vault!
