Todays Coffee and Chat with the Red Cross and TSC representative came back with some positive actions for the future. They would like to help start a Community Recovery Team. This group would ideally have a representative from each major street on the hill that could communicate to a team leader that would in turn have a line to the Regional Disaster Management. This would be beneficial and see our communities issues not wait on hold to call centres. They will also look into setting up a community hub at the Top Bilambil Heights Top Shop Which will have a free WiFi for people to come and access when power is down (with the use of generators and starlink).
This is not guaranteed but in now in the pipeline for Red Cross to find grants to action it. If anyone is keen to become a member of the Community Recovery Team or a team member, please shoot me a DM. Cheers all 👍

Howdy All, as you would have seen in a previous post, we are hosting a Red Cross Cuppa and Chat morning tomorrow.
Please note, for this event we will be erecting some gazebo's in our carpark. As a result the carpark will be closed until midday (ish).
The shop will still be open as normal. We thank you all for understanding the inconvenience and hope to see you for a cuppa and cake tomorrow 👍🍰☕

It seems ALF is not going to go quietly😱 Just got back from a trip to our supplier and it paints a pretty grim picture. While some stock is coming through, there is some stuff we just can’t get at the moment. We are up and running pretty much as normal however we have no chicken for burgers or seafood for pizzas. We hope more stock will start trickling in by mid to late next week.
Hope everyone is pulling the pieces back together and reachin that proverbial light at the end of the tunnel 👍
