👩‍🔬 Been a distiller for 5 years
🏆 2026 will be her 4th as a judge at the Australian International Spirit Awards (AISA)
🥃 Loves making gin, but passionate about whisky
🍫 Sweet tooth when it comes to food but not alcohol
📝Has completed lots of distilling short courses but mostly loves learning from peers

And…she officially bought into the business recently!

That’s right, your favourite store manager is now, a manager. Jess has always been passionate about what Alcohol by Victoria stands for - supporting small batch distillers, brewers and wine makers - so this step felt like a natural progression.

Kris & Dan couldn’t be happier that Jess is now a formal part of the team. We know you will be too.

Everything you see in Alcohol by Victoria is made right here in the state, but our wine selection is especially local, with most of it being made around the Bendigo region.

Ever since came to visit and run a masterclass for us, we’ve had to extend the range because you can’t get enough!

We now also stock their Pinot and Coffee & Vanilla, both delicious and very much worth adding to your want list.

Our masterclasses really are about more than drinks, they’re about sharing the stories, inspiration and passion behind each brand - which is why everyone falls in love with the drinks afterwards.

Now that we have fridges in our new store, we also have beer! And given Jess’ connection to Castlemaine, we had to get some in.

Their mission is simple, make quality beers that will see you through a great afternoon - and they definitely do.

For those that don’t know us, we’re Alcohol by Victoria, a boutique bottle shop on View Street in Bendigo that stocks wine, beer and spirits produced in small batches in Victoria only.

Victoria produces an exceptional range of drinks, enough that we can easily fill a shop - and our standards are high.

It’s time to get out of your comfort zone and find your new favourite drink, and support local wine makers, brewers and distillers while you’re at it.

Masterclass time!

We are very excited to welcome and wines to our June masterclass, happening in just 3 weeks.

Your $30 ticket includes a cocktail on arrival, guided tastings from both of our guests and a share platter to enjoy throughout the night.

Bookings are essential and places are limited, so let the group chat know it’s time to get together!

View Street has welcomed us with open arms, and as we’ve got to know the stores, we’ve paired them with something from our shelves.

Here’s what we came up with…

is Jess’ morning coffee stop, so it makes sense that it’s a bottled espresso martini cocktail - this one was easy!

has it’s iconic skull that we’ve matched with this brilliant agave. We also feel like the team here would appreciate margaritas (who doesn’t?!).

We couldn’t leave out - so we’ve paired them with soda! Just like the street, our drinks are better with a soda 😍

The beautiful is absolutely a bold red wine. It ages well, just like their leather bound books.

is bubbles!! Because flowers are a cause for celebration, so pop the cork and grab both!

When there is more than one coffee shop things get tricky, but Jess loves an afternoon chai from just as much as she loves chai gin!

is Bendigo’s best gift store, so it’s a gift pack for them! The perfect thing when you don’t know what to purchase.

And just past us on the street is the fabulous - who obviously gets a pink gin. Georgie also loves everything local, so we’ve paired her with this bottle that was designed by Bendigo artist 🌸

Finally, we couldn’t leave out the girls who have been massive supporters. They get all of the pretty wines, because self care in the form of fresh hair ALWAYS pairs well with a crisp drink and chats.
