Bank On View
Built in 1876 for the Union Bank, the entrance is dominated by large Corinthian columns on bluestone pedestals. At the rear of the building is the smelting room and two-storey residence for bank staff. A security guard often slept in the ledger room above the entrance.

Best’s Bin No. 1 Shiraz Turns 2021 🎉
A milestone worthy of a toast! Our Bin No. 1 Shiraz has come of age!

What started as an idea by Viv Thomson, has now evolved into our most popular wine with the 21st vintage release. It’s the wine that introduces many to Best’s Great Western style – elegant, medium-bodied and full of flavour.

We’re resisted the temptation to blend in fruit from other regions, instead focusing on distinctive flavour characteristics in the Grampians. Bin No. 1 is a combination of parcels from many of our long-term growers along with our own vineyards. It reflects the soils, the climate and gives the characters of blackberry, spice, pepper. It’s not a big shiraz – elegant and a pleasant surprise on the palate, urging you for one more sip!

As our Chairman, Fourth Generation Viv Thomson OAM notes, “this is a drinking wine, not a thinking wine.” Pair it with food and just enjoy it.
