If you’ve seen me painting maps, reading textbooks at the counter and trying to explain how tasting w**e daily really is essential to study then you’ll be happy to know I’ve finally finished with the books! (for now) And passed!
Studying w**e is a pretty epic journey and over the last six years, I’ve been ticking off some goals, and I’ve just passed the last big one, the WSET W**e Diploma. If you asked me what the Diploma is all about, I’d say, let’s pour a w**e and have a chat. Also, did I mentioned that it’s hard - luckily I had great classmates to work with (you can see us & the w**e celebrating in the photos of our graduation on Wednesday night…).
Anywho, w**e is a lifetime of learning and tasting, but for now, I’m for the w**e drinking rather than w**e analysing. Sometimes knowing the ins and outs is good, but really the most important thing with w**e is always – Yum or Not Yum. Simple right.
Thank you to all of you! For putting up with my books all over the place Barwon Heads W**estore always asking me ‘where are we today Ren’ as I’m painting and writing and generally being the community cheer squad. Couldn’t have done it without you.
