If we had a free Sunday and absolutely nowhere we needed to be, this is probably how we'd spend it…

Start slowly.

Have a wander through the local markets and see what's around.

Grab something good to eat.

Head off for a walk or bike ride and spend some time in nature.

Find somewhere by the water as the afternoon cools down.

And finish the day watching the sun disappear over 1770. 🌅

Nothing particularly fancy. No racing from one thing to the next. Just a really lovely day enjoying where we live.

Sometimes that's all you need.

Something spooky is happening at the Discovery Coast Sport and Recreation Association this Friday! 🎃👻

Get along for a fun night of live local music, food, drinks and Halloween dress-ups!

There's also a raffle supporting our local Playgroup, so another great reason to get out and support our community. 💛

One of the wonderful things about living in our little corner of Queensland is having access to local producers who genuinely care about the food they grow and the land they work on. 🌿

Golden Hill Farm is a great example of this.

Luke and his family are building their farm around thoughtful, sustainable farming practices, raising livestock with a focus on working alongside the natural environment rather than against it.

And they're continuing to grow and improve what they do, making locally produced food more accessible to our community.

When we choose to support local growers and producers, we're doing more than just buying food. We're supporting local families, reducing the distance our food needs to travel and helping businesses like Golden Hill Farm continue doing what they do. 💛

Their farm-fresh eggs are available locally in 1770!

When people think about visiting the reef from 1770, Lady Musgrave Island is often the first place that comes to mind.

But here's something many visitors don't realise…

Lady Musgrave isn't the only reef you can explore from here. 🤿

There are snorkelling and diving trips with Dive, Spear and Sport that take small groups out to explore other incredible sites within the Southern Great Barrier Reef and Bunker Group.

With a small team and an intimate group experience, it's a very different way to spend a day on the reef.

If you love being in the water, exploring beneath the surface and discovering somewhere a little less expected, this is one experience worth asking us about.
