🇫🇷🍷 Founded in 1797 and now led by the 11th generation, MaisonLouisLatour is one of the oldest in Burgundy and the largest owner of grands crus in the region. The principal owner of the Corton hill—nicknamed Burgundy’s “third slope”—it oversees a total of 48 hectares, including 27 classified as grand cru. Certified organic, it showcases exceptional terroirs, notably in the prestigious appellations Corton-Charlemagne, Chambertin and Chevalier-Montrachet.

Recently unveiled by the estate, the 2023 vintage stands out for a generous yield and optimal ripeness, despite capricious weather. The result is a remarkable vintage offering a harmonious balance of fruit, acidity and structure, promising excellent ageing potential.

Driven by a quest for excellence, the house favours hand-harvesting and meticulous grape selection. Fermentation begins in stainless-steel tanks and continues in oak barrels from its own cooperage. The world of Champagne mourns the loss of Frédéric Panaïotis, renowned Cellar Master of the illustrious champagne house, Ruinart, who passed away suddenly on Sunday, June 15, in a diving accident.

Frédéric was not only a gifted winemaker but a passionate ambassador of Champagne. Through his talent and vision, he brought remarkable finesse and precision to the wines of Ruinart, the oldest Champagne house, setting new standards of excellence and elevating the expression of its terroir.

🍷🇫🇷 Founded in the 18th century, Château Troplong Mondot, classified Premier Grand Cru Classé, is a landmark of Saint-Émilion. Acquired by SCOR in 2017, the estate has been under the leadership of Aymeric de Gironde since then, marking a new era. Under his guidance, both the viticultural and oenological practices have evolved significantly, as has the high-end wine-tourism offering, epitomised by the Michelin-starred restaurant 𝑳𝒆𝒔 𝑩𝒆𝒍𝒍𝒆𝒔 𝑷𝒆𝒓𝒅𝒓𝒊𝒙. These transformations have won critical acclaim, notably a perfect 100/100 score for the 2022 vintage from The Wine Advocate.

Château Troplong Mondot is opening the doors of its cellars to present a selection of old, confidential vintages. But what makes these wines so sought-after? It all begins with an exceptional terroir situated at 110 metres above sea level: clay-limestone soils threaded with rare strands of flint impart unique freshness, elegance and minerality.

Troplong Mondot’s wines are renowned for their remarkable ageing potential, thanks to a combination of outstanding assets: an exceptional site, meticulous vinification and careful ageing in oak barrels. Predominantly Merlot, they blend power, elegance and depth, carried by silky tannins that gain complexity over time. 🇪🇸🍷 Located in the extreme northwest of Spain, 𝑮𝒂𝒍𝒊𝒄𝒊𝒂 is a region with a distinct oceanic climate, among the coolest in the country. Its rugged terrain, marked by vertiginous terraces, demands heroic viticulture on varied soils (schists, granites, slates and alluvium) that nurture a diversity of aromatic profiles.

In Rías Baixas, to the southwest, the vineyards benefit from direct maritime exposure and granitic soils conducive to the pure expression of Albariño. This variety produces fresh, taut whites with aromas of citrus, white flowers and iodine, sometimes aged on lees for added complexity. Further east, Valdeorras stretches through a valley with a more continental climate. Its slate and clay soils host Godello, a white variety that yields ample, floral and structured wines with good cellaring potential.

The Ribeira Sacra stands out for its steep slopes, cradle of varieties such as Mencía, which gives rise to elegant reds with notes of red fruits, violet and pepper, underpinned by a fine mineral structure. 🍾🥂 Founded in 1829 in Aÿ, the Bollinger Champagne House has established itself as one of Champagne’s most illustrious names. It cultivates an inimitable style, driven by a philosophy centred on the art of reserve wines, carefully aged each year in magnum. With over 800,000 large formats and more than 10 years of ageing, these champagnes reveal the full complexity, structure and richness of their king grape: 𝐏𝐢𝐧𝐨𝐭 𝐍𝐨𝐢𝐫.

A true homage to this varietal, the PN cuvée is the result of research into the taste of Pinot Noir and its various origins in Champagne. Each edition thus unveils a singular interpretation of the House’s savoir-faire and emblematic terroir.

Mainly sourced from the Tauxières cru, this 100 % Pinot Noir rests on a 2020 base, enriched with 52 % reserve wines, including the 2008 and 2012 vintages (the oldest in the blend), which bring remarkable depth. An ageing period more than twice that required by the appellation attests to the House’s exacting standards and expertise, while a moderate dosage of 8 g/L enhances this expression.

In the glass, the cuvée shows a golden-yellow hue with shimmering highlights. The nose reveals fresh citrus and lemon aromas, lifted by notes of peach and quince. The palate opens with slightly tart redcurrant nuances, leading into a long, expressive mouthfeel that combines depth and vinosity. Cooked-fruit nuances prolong the tasting into a broad, elegant finish.

🇮🇹🍇 Renowned Florentine family, the 𝐅𝐫𝐞𝐬𝐜𝐨𝐛𝐚𝐥𝐝𝐢 family have been cultivating vines in Tuscany for over 700 years. Among their landmark estates is Tenuta Luce Della Vite, an 88-hectare vineyard nestled in the heart of Montalcino. Located between 280 and 418 metres above sea level, the property is home to one of the highest vineyards in the region and offers perfect conditions for expressing Sangiovese and Merlot.

For its 30th vintage, the estate unveils an exceptional cuvée: 𝐋𝐮𝐜𝐞 𝟐𝟎𝟐𝟐. On this occasion, the bottle features an exclusive design specially conceived to mark this new decade. But the estate went even further, partnering with Tim Triptree, Master of Wine and International Director at Christie’s Wine & Spirits, to organise a unique vertical tasting.

Alongside Lamberto Frescobaldi, he took part in the very first tasting of the estate’s 30 vintages. From 1993 to 2022, this historic event shed light on many remarkable years, emphasising their quality, freshness, ageing potential and the remarkable consistency culminating in Luce 2022.

Luce 2022 offers fresh aromas of redcurrant and pomegranate, enhanced by delicate floral notes. On the palate, generous and enveloping from the very first attack, it seduces with ripe, silky tannins perfectly balanced by a vibrant mid-palate that extends into a long, intense and flavoursome finish.

The estate now covers 98.7 hectares of vineyards across 77 climats, making it one of the largest wine holdings on the Côte d’Or. Since 1820, the Château de Beaune (a former 15th-century royal fortress classified as a historic monument) has housed underground cellars with outstanding ageing conditions.

Committed to sustainable viticulture, the estate achieved organic certification for all its parcels by 2025, reflecting a deep respect for both terroir and environment.
