🇫🇷🍷 Founded in 1797 and now led by the 11th generation, MaisonLouisLatour is one of the oldest in Burgundy and the largest owner of grands crus in the region. The principal owner of the Corton hill—nicknamed Burgundy’s “third slope”—it oversees a total of 48 hectares, including 27 classified as grand cru. Certified organic, it showcases exceptional terroirs, notably in the prestigious appellations Corton-Charlemagne, Chambertin and Chevalier-Montrachet.
Recently unveiled by the estate, the 2023 vintage stands out for a generous yield and optimal ripeness, despite capricious weather. The result is a remarkable vintage offering a harmonious balance of fruit, acidity and structure, promising excellent ageing potential.
Driven by a quest for excellence, the house favours hand-harvesting and meticulous grape selection. Fermentation begins in stainless-steel tanks and continues in oak barrels from its own cooperage. The whites are distinguished by their freshness, precision of aromas and minerality, while the reds offer finesse, a silky structure and outstanding ageing potential.
