Congratulations Jadyn Smet! She is celebrating her five year service anniversary. Jadyn began her career with us as a front-end associate, then became a Guest Service Representative. Her talents don't end there. Jadyn is always willing to jump in and help where needed, especially with pricing and receiving. She made an official move to our produce department late last summer. Jadyn has flourished in the produce department - becoming a great addition to that team.

Thank you for Jadyn for your continued flexibility and support throughout the store when needed, as well as your commitment to Trig's and our guests. We look forward to working with you very a long time to come and celebrating many more milestones.

We have a Gold "t" Announcement!!

We would like to formally recognize and extend heartfelt appreciation for one of our outstanding team members, Patrick (Paddy) Curtis, who has gone above and beyond in his role as a Guest Service Representative on the front end. Since joining us, Paddy has demonstrated rapid and impressive growth in his position. In a short period of time, he has not only grasped the responsibilities of his role but has excelled in them with consistency and excellence. Paddy approaches each shift with an admirable level of professionalism, initiative, and a focus on guest service that is truly amazing. His natural ability to connect with guests, meet their needs, and ensure their experience is positive has set a standard for others to follow.

What sets Paddy apart are his technical skills or efficiency and the genuine warmth and kindness he brings to the workplace. Paddy is consistently seen smiling, sharing a light-hearted moment, or telling a joke that lifts the energy of those around him. His presence alone makes the front end feel more welcoming, for both our guests and our team.

One particular moment that deeply exemplifies Paddy’s character was when he voluntarily came in to assist after hearing about an emergency situation through an ambulance radio call. Without hesitation and on his own accord, Paddy showed up to help someone in need at our store. This act of selflessness and care speaks volumes about the kind of person he is.

Thank you, Paddy, for everything you do. Your efforts do not go unnoticed, and we are incredibly grateful to have you as part of our team.

Today - we are celebrating Mike White's retirement! Mike has been our VP of Smokehouse and Director of Meat & Seafood for the past several years. He has led the meat/Smokehouse associates in developing several new products, including smoked turkey breast, marinated chicken breasts, marinated pork loins, and various new brat flavors! His love of cooking and skills as a meat crafter have served us (and our guests) well. We will definitely miss his awesome smile and disposition - always ready to serve guests, his team, and leadership. We wish Mike many years of adventure and excitement in his retirement and hope he stops in occasionally for a visit. Congratulations and we're wishing you all the best Mike! (📸 )

Trig’s

Trig's is considered more of a collection than a chain. Each store is designed to uniquely serve its community in a very personal and committed way, taking on the personality of its region. But most importantly, Trig's goal is to make sure you get the best service no matter what.

The collection started in 1971 when Trygve (Trig) and Tula Solberg started the company with a single small store in Land O'Lakes, Wisconsin. Today, T.A. Solberg Company, Inc. operates five Trig's stores in the Northern Wisconsin communities of Rhinelander, Minocqua, Eagle River, Wausau, Weston, Tomahawk, and Stevens Point. Each store is a complete one stop experience with an expansive deli which includes Sushi With Gusto and Fresh & Fast chef-inspired, prepped and ready-to-cook meals, a full-service meat counter, Cellar 70 Wine and Spirits, and a full service Healthmart pharmacy.

In 2019, The National Grocers Association (NGA) presented Trig Solberg with the Thomas K. Zaucha Entrepreneurial Excellence Award last night. This award is presented annually to recognize an independent grocer that demonstrates persistence, vision, and creative entrepreneurship. This award is one of the most prestigious honors awarded to independent grocers. A short video was produced by NGA to honor Trig and shows how our company has grown and the ways we serve our communities.

Trig's is one part of the larger T.A. Solberg Company, Inc., a diverse and healthy organization of over 1,000 associates that also operates Trig's Village Market in Manitowish Waters, Tula's Café in Minocqua and Rhinelander, several fuel and convenience stores throughout northern and central Wisconsin, Trig's Central Bakery and Trucking Facility, Trig's Recycling Center, Tasmania Northwoods Resort, and Twice is Nice Consignment Store in Rhinelander.
