Thirsty Thursdays: Let’s Talk Gin
From Dutch “jenever” to London Dry legends, gin’s been medicine, mayhem, and mixology gold. We’re tasting four wild expressions on so check it out:

Anohka Tempest (AB) – bold, botanical, Alberta-made
Empress 1908 (BC) – colour-changing, tea-steeped elegance
Ometeo (MX) – citrusy, social, rooted in Jalisco
Engine Organic (IT) – sagey, savory, and slick in a motor oil can

We’re mixing classics to show off each gin’s personality. Recipes below—your weekend starts here:

Negroni (Anohka)
1 oz gin / 1 oz Campari / 1 oz sweet vermouth / Stir with ice / Orange peel garnish

French 75 (Empress)
1.5 oz gin / 0.75 oz lemon juice / 0.75 oz simple syrup / Shake / Top with Champagne

Gin & Tonic (Ometeo)
2 oz gin / 4 oz tonic / 0.5 oz lime juice / Ice / Garnish with lime

Last Word (Engine)
0.75 oz gin / 0.75 oz green Chartreuse / 0.75 oz maraschino / 0.75 oz lime / Shake & strain
