Okay, I'm gonna get a little sappy for a minute. π₯Ήβ€οΈ
If you own a small business, you know how much of your heart goes into this thing. The long days, the late nights, the money you reinvest, the ideas that keep you awake at 2 AM, and the constant hope that you're building something that matters.
And sometimes, all it takes is ONE person mentioning your business in a Facebook comment to make a difference you may never even know about.
Someone recommends your store. Someone shares your post. Someone tags a friend and says, "You need to check this place out!"
And just like that, someone new finds you. Maybe they become a customer. Maybe they become a regular. Maybe they become one of the people who helps your little dream grow into something bigger than you ever imagined.
All because somebody took a few seconds out of their day to say your name. πβ€οΈ
I've been thinking about this a LOT lately with everything happening with The Dirty Mitten. The growth, the support, the incredible people finding us, and the people who have been cheering us on since the beginning.
I wish I could explain what that means to me. I really do.
Because behind every small business is a real person. A family. A dream. A whole lot of hard work. And probably a few questionable financial decisions along the way. π
And behind our little store are SO many amazing local makers who are putting their hearts into what they create, hoping people will love it as much as they loved making it.
When you recommend us, you aren't just helping me. You're helping those makers, too. You're helping keep handmade and Michigan-made alive. You're helping a small downtown business keep growing. You're helping real people chase something they believe in.
So if you've ever shared one of my posts, recommended The Dirty Mitten, brought a friend into the store, purchased from one of our makers, or simply cheered us on from the sidelines, THANK YOU. From the bottom of my heart. β€οΈ
You might think it's just a comment. Just a share. Just a little thing.
But sometimes those little things turn into BIG things for someone else.
And I hope you know that even when I don't personally see every single thing you do to support us, it matters. More than you know.
Please keep talking about your favorite small businesses. Keep recommending your favorite makers. Keep sharing the places and people you love.
You never know who needs that little boost, that next customer, or that reminder that what they're doing is worth it.
And if you're one of the people who has helped The Dirty Mitten along the way, just know that a girl up here in Northern Michigan is over here feeling ALL the feels about it. π₯Ήβ€οΈ
We wouldn't be here without you. And I will never forget that. π€
