SINGLE DISTILLERY BLEND SERIES 🥃
Larger than a single cask release but smaller than a multi-distillery blend, we collaborate with our distillery partners to create small blends of unique whiskies unlike anything they release on their own. These whiskies showcase a new side of some of the country’s most beloved distilleries!

Blending wh***ey from a single distillery is a pretty different process from creating a multi-distillery blend!

For a multi-distillery blend, the overall profile is a bit more flexible and bends to the blending process, rather than the other way around.

By contrast, for a single distillery series blend, Nora approaches the process with a clear perspective on the profile she wants to build, which guides the blending.

According to Nora, the nice thing about working with one distillery’s wh***ey is that the barrels usually want to integrate, which is definitely not always true for a multi-distillery blend!

New score alert! 👀

We are thrilled to share that W**e Enthusiast reviewed the United States of Bourbon, and awarded high scores to all three bottles!

Our 100 proof expression earned 95 points, the cask strength earned a score of 96, and the 1776 Edition earned a score of 94!

The United States of Bourbon is a celebration of the wide-ranging landscapes, microclimates, farmers, and distillers making great bourbon all across the country! Each state is represented by a single distillery, all of which are named on the back label. Every cask of bourbon in this blend was hand-selected from a distillery visited and vetted by Lost Lantern over the course of five years.

Formally recognized by the TTB in 1968, “light wh***ey” was given its name primarily to appeal to the average vodka drinker. Distilled to a higher proof than bourbon and rye but lower than vodka, the style never completely took off. Today, it is made fairly rarely, usually either as an experiment or as a component in blended whiskies that plays a role similar to Scotch grain wh**ky.

Within the last decade, light wh***ey has been showing signs of a growing resurgence and cult following, with new releases hitting the market from well-known brands and with higher age statements. The single casks we chose from George Dickel have a lighter mouthfeel and body compared to bourbon, with a similar depth of complexity.

If you’ve never tried quality light wh***ey before, it’s a fascinating addition to a bottle share or your own collection!

George Dickel has never previously released their Tennessee rye wh***ey on its own, their wheat wh***ey, or their light wh***ey!

🔥 RYE: Previously released only as part of a collaboration with Colorado-based Leopold Bros., this is the first standalone release of George Dickel’s Tennessee-distilled rye. Made from 84% rye, 8% corn, and 8% malt and aged for seven years in a new oak barrel, it is a bold hot-climate Southern rye shaped by Tennessee’s heat, with full oak, rich mint, chocolate, and rye spice notes.

🌾 WHEAT: Made from 100% wheat and aged for seven years in a new oak barrel, this previously unreleased style is for wheated bourbon lovers. Deep baking spice, tropical fruit, and warm oak meet delicate floral notes and a remarkable softness on the palate.

💡LIGHT: Our first light wh***ey is another previously unreleased style from George Dickel. Made from 84% corn, 8% rye, and 8% malt and aged for eight years in a used oak barrel, this rare single cask invites exploration of an overlooked wh***ey category. Delicate and nuanced, it has a lighter body and mouthfeel than bourbon while offering plenty of complexity.
