Daltonapolis Track Rules:
Safety:
All drivers must wear either a full face helmet with visor or mx-style helmet with goggles (tear offs recommended, it is dirt track racing after all)
Closed toe shoes or boots madatory for all drivers
Long sleeves and full pants (no shorts) must be worn by all drivers
Gloves optional (but highly recommended)
Conduct:
Teams are to supply their own fuel, tools,
drinks, and munchies as none will be available at the track. Teams are also responsible to pack all their own trash and other wastes
Pits will be set up to accommodate trucks and trailers, if you are bringing more than one kart (ie, 3) and have access to a trailer, bring it. Rubbing is racing yes, but deliberately taking out an opponent when only bragging rights are on the line is a stupid way to risk someone else getting hurt. Do it somewhere else if you have to, just don’t let me hear about it or you wont be invited back). Obey all the flags all of the time. Officials are here to keep the race moving safely and quickly
Daltonapolis Kart Rules:
Engines that can be run include Briggs and Straton racing engines (flat head, Animal, etc) Honda 9hp, 13hp etc, 80cc-250cc shifters, KT100s, etc. No QRC outlaw style engines or anything bigger than 250cc. Must be self starting or provide own push vehicle. Subject to change
All karts must be either fun karts, speedway, sprint, caged, etc. Seat belts recommended
Wings and spoilers allowed
Full bodies allowed. Side number panels and NOSES REQUIRED. Front tires must have at least the front portion concealed. No offroad karts, all karts must be similar in size
No sharp edges on kart. If it can cut a tire or person, it wont be allowed. Beadlocks allowed. Dirt and slicks tires allowed. No offroad tires. All karts to have numbers clearly legible for scoring purposes. No duplicates. Numbers will be posted with driver name at the bottom of this page. If a driver picks a number someone else already has, he or she must choose another number, or add a letter. This is to keep confusion down (trust me, it will)
Numbers must be as follows: one on each side, one on front, and rear optional. Reserve your number with a personal message to Michael Dalton
Rules subject to change so keep checking back. Flags:
