Ordered 9 cases of water, a pile of groceries, drinks, detergent, and who knows what else... all going to a 4th floor apartment with no elevator. 😭🛒 Then came the part that really got me: the tip was $0.00. Not a dollar. Not a couple bucks. Zero. At that point it's not even a grocery delivery anymore, it's a stair-climbing competition with extra weight attached. 😅 Nine cases of water alone is a workout, and that's before carrying all the bags, boxes, and other heavy items up four flights of stairs. I know tipping is technically optional, but when someone orders what feels like half the store and expects a driver to haul it all the way to their door for nothing extra, it's hard not to feel a little defeated. Drivers are using their own vehicles, paying for their own gas, and doing all the lifting themselves. Orders like this take serious time and effort.
Would you take an order like this with no tip? If you lived on the 4th floor and ordered 9 cases of water, how much would you tip? Do you think the delivery fee should cover all that work, or should heavy upstairs orders be treated differently? 🤔

Can someone who knows concrete work tell me what my neighbor is building here? 👀
They’ve got this curved form set up with rebar and broken concrete inside, and I’m having a hard time picturing the finished project. I’m guessing it could be a new walkway or some kind of decorative concrete feature.
Anyone seen a setup like this before? What do you think it’s going to be?

I am so tired of this. Look at this. The neighbor parked his car on the road right in front of his house and completely blocked the entrance to OUR house. How is this okay? Do you not see that we cannot even get in or out of our own driveway? What if there was an emergency? What if an ambulance or fire truck needed to get through? Would you still think this is fine? This is not your personal parking spot. This is a public street and our only way in. I have asked nicely before and nothing changed. So now I am asking publicly. Why do some people think their convenience matters more than everyone else's safety? Move your car. Respect your neighbors. This is selfish and unacceptable.

I am furious. Neighboring parents, do you even look outside? Your children knocked over a trash can and are now playing in garbage in the middle of our street. Food, cans, and plastic are scattered everywhere while they treat it like a toy pile. This is filthy, unsafe, and disrespectful to every family on this block. Someone could get hurt, animals could get into it, and now the rest of us have to deal with this mess. Parent your kids. Teach them not to dump trash and play in it. This is not a playground. Do better, and clean this up immediately.

The guy who uses a leaf blower at 11 PM to clean his "pristine" driveway.
There is a man three houses down who is obsessed with his driveway. I mean, truly obsessed. It's perfectly black asphalt, not a single pebble, not a single leaf.
The problem is, he works late shifts. He gets home around 10:45 PM, and his first order of business — every single night — is to get his industrial-strength gas leaf blower out and clear the "debris" that gathered while he was gone.
Imagine trying to sleep, and at 11:05 PM, it sounds like a jet engine is idling right outside your window. He does it for twenty minutes. Every. Single. Night.
I went over there last night in my bathrobe, trying to be the "cool neighbor" who just needs some sleep. I asked if he could maybe use a broom at night?
He looked at me with total sincerity and said, "Brooms leave streaks. The blower is the only way to get the dust off. I pay my taxes, I can maintain my property."
The level of entitlement is insane. He thinks "maintaining property" gives him a pass to ignore noise ordinances and the fact that people have jobs and kids who need to sleep. The police have been called twice, but by the time they arrive, he's done and back inside.
Is there any way to win against a guy who thinks a "streak-free driveway" is more important than a whole block's sleep?

Someone put a mailbox on my property and now the mail carrier thinks I moved

When I bought my house, the property line was clearly marked by a survey stake near the curb. There is a narrow strip of grass between my driveway and the neighbor's driveway, and that strip belongs to me.

Last week, I came home and found a brand-new black mailbox planted right in the middle of it. No conversation. No note. Just a mailbox, a little flag, and the number of the house next door painted in gold letters.

I assumed it was temporary. Then the mail carrier started putting their packages in it. I explained that the mailbox was not mine, and he said, "That's where the address is registered now."

My neighbor said their original mailbox was too close to the road and that my grass was "the only practical spot." I reminded her that the survey shows the grass belongs to me. She replied, "But nobody uses it."

Now their mailbox blocks my view when I back out, and delivery drivers walk across my lawn. I asked them to move it, but they say changing the address would be "a huge inconvenience."

Am I unreasonable for wanting someone else's mailbox off my property, even if it is only a few feet of grass?

When I returned home, I found my driveway entrance blocked by my neighbor's utility trailer, preventing me from entering my property. After I asked them to move it, they told me they were busy with yard work and would deal with it later. Given the many parking spaces available on the street, it's hard to understand why they parked in front of my driveway. I believe it's reasonable to expect access to my property without obstruction. Would it be better to give them more time or ask them to move the trailer now?

To the individual who left a shopping cart unattended in the Walmart parking lot, allowing it to roll into my truck, I hope you returned your own cart after shopping, as the incident certainly didn't improve my day. Upon returning to my vehicle, I was dismayed to find the cart resting against it, and my stomach sank as I took in the extent of the damage. Sure enough, there were scratches, a couple of small dents, and paint damage - precisely the kind of discovery every vehicle owner dreads after a shopping trip. This incident highlights why abandoned carts can be so frustrating; it takes mere seconds to return a cart to its designated area, yet some individuals leave them loose, hoping to avoid responsibility. When damage occurs, it's often dismissed as an accident, but in reality, it's frequently preventable. Now, I'll likely face repair estimates, insurance inquiries, and body shop visits due to someone's thoughtlessness. I'm planning to review store footage to identify the responsible party, as they should be held accountable. Has anyone else experienced the misfortune of having a shopping cart impact their vehicle, or am I the unfortunate recipient of a parking lot mishap?
