The first Oktoberfest took place in Munich, Germany, on October 12, 1810, to celebrate a royal wedding. To this day, it’s celebrated on the very same fairground where that first party took place. Imagine throwing such an amazing wedding that people around the globe are still celebrating it over two centuries later!
These days, the Theresienwiese fairgrounds swell with literally millions of revelers (an estimated 6.5 million last year) from late September through early October. Partiers will enjoy classic malty Märzen and the more modern Festbier—two iconic styles of German l***r.
Here at Bow Street, BOWtobetfest has started early. All of our German imports are in, and Maine craft options are following right behind them! We stocked up big, but these seasonal favorites never last as long as you’d like. Get in early and start the party before it’s too late. Prost! 🍻
