Le Fizz! 🍓🍊

Another delicious beverage from Ghia. A super sweet story: orange blossom meets strawberry. Refreshingly tart, juicy and zesty with a dry finish. Gently effervescent bubbles led by notes of strawberry and orange blossom. The perfect non-alcoholic beverage for anytime and every-time.

For you wine lovers out there (you know who you’re), we have at least 15 new Autumn reds that landed in the store this week alone! I always start ramping up our selection at this time in anticipation of cooler weather, plus Halloween, Election and finally ... the Holidays! So stock up this weekend and make sure you have enough libations on hand for when you have to cater to all those trick-or-treaters coming to your neighborhood!

Brasserie Cantillon is in stock! Lamvinus and Classic Gueuze. 1 btl per customer.

On a quiet side street in the Anderlecht municipality of Brussels is a storefront entrance to a living embodiment of brewing history – Brasserie Cantillon. When Cantillon opened its doors in 1900, it was one of more than a hundred operating breweries in Brussels. Today, it is one of a handful. Starting as a small family brewery, Cantillon is still family owned. Jean-Pierre Van Roy – a fourth-generation brewer – currently runs Cantillon.

What makes Cantillon so special is the fact that not much has changed since 1900. They brew and blend Lambic beers in the traditional style, which can take up to four years. This patience and attention to detail produces absolutely amazing products. The brewery is also very innovative and has pioneered a number of new and different variations on Lambic styles. Their brewing system is still in place from the first half of the 20th century. The brewery’s working “Gueuze Museum” is intended to preserve the traditional process of making Lambic beers.

The sun is shining and it might not even get to 80 today! Come celebrate with a 4 pk of Pinkus or an Ayinger Oktoberfest! Premature? The Germans celebrate in September so, why not? Also! We finally have the Mommenpop Aperitifs back in stock! Blood Orange, Seville Orange and Grapefruit are the flavors and they’re ready for a spritz. Cheers!

While only a few schools are back in session, folks are returning in droves to the Ojai Valley after the summer travel season winds down. As such, it is time for plenty of new wine to kick off the new season! This week, we’re focusing on some fun new (and old) whites, sparklers and Pinots to check out. Famed winemaker, Ernst Storm has two new arrivals at PDC including his over-achieving ‘22 SBC Pinot Noir and the ever-evolving Donnachadh Estate Pinot Noir. Both lovely Pinots that are really hitting their strides at the moment. Back by popular demand is the Brigo Lambrusco - FINALLY! This new cuvee is wonderful and you certainly must try the Mittnacht Cremant d’Alsace which features all of the noble varietals of Alsace in one bottle. The new vintage of Garganega from Le Fraghe is outstanding as is the Johan Vineyard Skin Contact - a real standout from a newer producer (to us) in the Willamette Valley.
