Upper Westsiders! Carnivorous Wine Lovers! Fans of C&P Wines!...
There is a fantastic butcher shop at 2141 Frederick Douglass Blvd @ 116th Street called Harlem Shambles.
Run by Tim Forrester and his highly skilled team of butchers, this business is one of my favorite stops along my weekly route around NYC selling wine. Some of the best meat to ever kiss my skillet, and I have bought my Thanksgiving Turkeys here since they opened...
This Thursday, November 17th, we will join forces for an evening, from 4-8pm, at Harlem Shambles counter. I will pair some wines with Butcher Tim's riffs on dishes you can attempt yourselves via the fine cuts of pork, beef, lamb, chicken (and turkey!) you will find there.
Please come out and buy yourself something to cook for dinner, but beforehand, you can taste a few wines and make a decision about what's for dinner AFTER you have tasted what Tim and the team put together.
It's going to be a lot of fun. Obviously, you can buy the meat right there, and if you want to buy any of the wines, you can take a short stroll to see our friends around the corner at 257 W. 116th, The Winery, and they will have all the wines for sale.
Pipe up if you can make it, tell your friends, and let's try to make this shindig something to talk about!
Thanks as always for supporting our endeavors to bring you great wines at good prices, and please come out to support two other great local businesses, Harlem Shambles and The Winery!
All my best,
C@C&P
PS I'll have all the news for you about our merger with Village Wine Imports...exciting stuff, and it means a lot more great wine coming your way.
