Spring Tasting
Thursday, March 26th
4 - 7 pm

Spring has officially sprung…or at least it’s trying to. As we thaw out of winter and enjoy the first growths of the season, we have brand new wines to share! Join us this Thursday for our first tasting of the year, as we feature some of our favorite new selections.

Being poured:
Biodynamically grown Gavi (Piedmont, Italy)
Organic Pinot Grigio from northern Italy (Trentino-Alto Adige, Italy)
Organically farmed Barbera (Lombardy, Italy)
An eclectic Portuguese red blend (Alentejo, Portugal)
Sustainable reserva Rioja with some age on it (Rioja, Spain)

Food to be paired:
To keep it simple…
Lablabi, a Tunisian chickpea stew (vegan)
Served w/crusty bread

As always, wine poured will be 12% off the night of the tasting.

We are officially in holiday mode here, and with that we are having one last wine tasting to round out the year. This time of year we’re thinking of holiday parties and gift ideas for our loved ones. But most importantly, to slow down and enjoy some wine!

Being poured:
-Sustainably farmed Cremant…think about New Year’s (Burgundy, France)
-Dry Chenin Blanc…to wake up your palate (Loire, France)
-California Merlot…a holiday crowd pleaser (Lodi, California)
-Sustainable Bordeaux Superieur…for your standing rib roast (Bordeaux, France)
-Organic Syrah from Crozes-Hermitage…perfect with lamb (Rhone, France)

And to finish the tasting…a holiday after-dinner drink

The holidays have us thinking about Hors d’Oeuvres and finger foods…
-Hand-rolled vegan stuffed grape leaves
-1 year old aged Irish cheddar
-Canadian herring in cream sauce
-Middle Eastern lamb meatballs
-Italian sweet soppressata
-Breads & pita

Thanksgiving Tasting
Thursday, November 20th
4 - 7 pm

We almost can’t believe it, but the holidays are right around the corner. And for us, that means wine, wine…and more wine! This Thursday is our annual Thanksgiving tasting, where we get you ready for your holiday plans with new wines and side dish ideas. This time around we are sampling all Italian wines, which should be perfect for a rich meal.

Being poured:
Sustainable dry Lambrusco (Emilia-Romagna, Italy)
Organic Pinot Blanc, aka Weissburgunder (Alto-Adige, Italy)
Corvina, a grape of Valpolicella (Veneto, Italy)
Biodynamic Schiava (Alto-Adige, Italy)
Chianti, a classic Thanksgiving option (Tuscany, Italy)
And to finish the tasting…a VS Calvados

Food to be paired:
For food, we’re thinking just side dishes this year, featuring fall produce from Laughing Fork Farm, Bradley Farm, and Wallkill View . A few options will be-

-Brussels sprouts
-Kale salad
-Roasted Delicata squash, goat cheese, dried cranberries & toasted walnuts
-Sage & onion stuffing
And more!

Fall is here and we are tasting wines again! This Thursday (to avoid leaf-peeper traffic) we’ll be pouring wines both new and familiar.

Being poured:
-White Bordeaux blend (Bordeaux, France)
-Organic Rolle, Clairette, and Roussanne blend from Mt Ventoux (Rhone, France)
-Sustainable Oregon Pinot Noir, but not Willamette (Upqua Valley, Oregon)
-Non-intervention Merlot from Bordeaux (Bordeaux, France)
-Sustainably farmed Cabernet Sauvignon (Amador County, California)
And to finish the tasting…a 5 year old Armagnac

For food, we’re preparing a comforting dish featuring local fall produce from Bradley Farm

-Roasted winter squash & peanut curry featuring local Cheese pumpkin, Buttercup squash, and Butternut Squash
-Basmati rice

For this week’s tasting we’re doing something a little different, We're finally featuring all non-intervention/natural wines, including a skin-contact orange, chillable red, and more.

Being poured:
-Biodynamic Rolle, aka Vermentino (Provence, France)
-Non-intervention orange wine from Moscatel de Alejandria (Bio-Bio, Chile)
-Biodynamic chillable red of Syrah (Languedoc, France)
-Organic Syrah, Grenache, and Pinot Noir blend (Languedoc, France)
-Biodynamic & unfiltered Montepulciano from 40-year-old vines (Abruzzo, Italy)

Food to be paired:
For food, we’re doing dishes all featuring classic summer veggies…

-Heirloom tomatoes, mozzarella, extra virgin olive oil & basil
-Toasted corn salad
-Baked stuffed zucchini ft. half vegan, half Italian sausage

All produce, cheese, and sausage from some of our friends from Wallkill View, Bradley Farm, and Taliaferro Farms

Like many of you, we took a little break this summer. But now we’re back with another tasting! Join us this Thursday 4-7 pm to taste through five new wines we recently brought into the store.

Domestic Sauvignon Blanc (Columbia Valley, Washington)
Organic Grenache rosé (Santa Barbara, California)
Organic, dry farmed Pais and Carignan blend (Maule Valley, Chile)
Sustainably farmed liter of Zweigelt (Kremstal, Austria)
Biodynamic and organic Baga (Bairrada, Portugal)

Food to be paired:
Summertime makes us want to cook outdoors, so we decided to throw some veggies into our smoker! Ken will be serving a house-smoked vegetable & potato hash with two protein options: roasted chicken thighs or grilled marinated tofu.

The tariffs are on all our minds lately, but that’s not going to stop us from tasting wine!! This week we’re doing a pop-up of non-American wines. Join us this Thursday from 4-7!

Being poured:
Since this is a pop-up, you’ll have to come see what we’re pouring! Get ready to see some cool new wines.

Food to be paired:
We’ve been busy foraging for goodies in the woods lately, as pictured above. We’ll be including them in our two pasta dishes, one with locally sourced oyster mushrooms (vegan) and one with house-smoked brisket.

We're having another wine tasting this Thursday, April 17th from 4-7pm! Since there’s so much going on this time of year, we couldn’t pick one theme for our next wine tasting. So instead, each wine has a theme!

Being poured:
Italian rosé (spring has sprung…??)
Sustainable Weissburgunder, i.e. Pinot Blanc (for Earth Day)
Sancerre rouge (perfect with that Easter ham)
Organic Rioja Reserva (nice with leftover brisket)
California Cabernet Sauvignon (tariff proof!)

Food to be paired:
Zuppa d’Erbigie, a Corsican bean, tomato, potato, and herb stew (vegan) w/crusty bread
