MAY WINE SOCIETY PICKS ARE HERE 🌍🍷

This month’s lineup travels from the sun-drenched heel of Italy to the rugged hills of Spain and the ancient vineyards of Lebanon. Three bottles. Three stories. No passport required.

HIDDEN GEMS🇮🇹 Schola Sarmenti Vespre Fiano 2024 | Italy

Bright, zippy, and drinkable, this southern Italian white bursts with notes of citrus blossom, pear, white peach, and a whisper of Mediterranean herbs. Crisp acidity keeps everything refreshing, like a seaside breeze through an open window.

Fun fact: Fiano is one of Italy’s oldest native grape varieties, once so prized in Roman times that it was called “Vitis Apiana” because bees were irresistibly drawn to its sweet aromas. Bee-approved since antiquity. 🐝

🇪🇸PetitOna Red 2024 | Spain

Juicy red berries, crushed violets, soft spice, and enough earthiness to make you feel like you’re sipping wine in a tiny village in Catalonia. Fresh, lively, and dangerously easy to pour “just one more” glass of.

Fun fact: PetitOna is crafted with a focus on minimal intervention winemaking, letting the grapes speak for themselves instead of dressing them up in heavy oak or manipulation. Think flamenco guitar instead of stadium pyrotechnics. 💃

🇱🇧 CURIOSITY SEEKER SELECTIONLes Vignes du Marje Vin Rouge 2016 | Lebanon

This bottle is pure old-world intrigue. Deep notes of black cherry, dried fig, baking spice, to***co, and earthy herbs unfold slowly with each sip. Elegant, savory, and beautifully mature.

Fun fact: Lebanon is one of the oldest wine-producing regions on Earth, with winemaking traditions dating back over 5,000 years. The Phoenicians carried wine culture across the Mediterranean long before wine bars existed. Ancient grape energy in a glass.🏺

Sunshine’s stretching its legs, patio season is just around the corner, and we’re pouring two Italian crowd-pleasers today through Sunday:

🇮🇹 Riva de la Rosa Gavi 2023Bright, crisp, and quietly elegant. Think lemon zest, green pear, white flowers, and that clean mineral snap that makes Gavi such a seafood superstar.

Fun fact: Gavi is made from the Cortese grape in Piedmont, and for decades it was one of the very few Italian white wines regularly poured at fine dining restaurants across the U.S. before Pinot Grigio took the country by storm.

🍝 Vigneti del Sole Montepulciano d’Abruzzo 2024Juicy black cherry, plum, soft spice, and just enough earthiness to keep things interesting. Smooth, easygoing, dangerously gulpable.

Fun fact: Montepulciano d’Abruzzo comes from Italy’s Adriatic coast, where mountain air from the Apennines meets sea breezes from the Adriatic. Basically: nature built the perfect grape air-conditioner.

Stop in, taste something new, and grab a few bottles for the weekend while the forecast is behaving itself.

🍷 Pouring today through SundayThursday–Friday: 12–6
Saturday: 11-6Sunday: 12–5

🌷🍷 Mother’s Day Weekend Starts at the Sample Bar
Need the perfect bottle for brunch, gifting… or being the hero at Sunday dinner? We’ve got you covered. ✨ Stop in this weekend to sip before you shop and discover something Mom will actually want to share.

On the Sample Bar:
🥂 Veritas Estate “Wren” Gewürztraminer (Lake Michigan Shore, Michigan)Lush and aromatic, with notes of lychee, peach, honeysuckle, and soft spice balanced by refreshing acidity.✨ Interesting fact: Gewürztraminer can sometimes be heavy, but Michigan’s cooler climate keeps this one bright, lively, and beautifully balanced. Local wine, global charm.

🌸 Domaine des Cassagnoles Rosé Plaisir (Côtes de Gascogne, France)Fresh strawberries, watermelon, citrus zest, and a crisp, dry finish make this pure patio fuel.✨ Interesting fact: Wines from Gascony are known for their incredible freshness and value—this is the kind of rosé the French casually drink all spring and summer long.

🍷 Stampede Heritage Red – Little Trouble (Lodi, California)Soft and juicy with notes of ripe blackberry, cherry compote, cocoa, and a touch of spice. Smooth, easygoing, and built for sharing around the table.✨ Interesting fact: Little Trouble focuses on low-intervention winemaking and expressive blends that prioritize drinkability over heaviness—proof that serious wine can still know how to have fun.

✨ Whether Mom loves crisp whites, pretty pinks, or soulful reds, we’ve got shelves full of wines ready to make her weekend delicious.

Swing by, taste something new, and find the perfect bottle for celebrating the moms, grandmas, bonus moms, dog moms, and wine moms in your life. 💐🍷
