🚧 **PROPOSED UPGRADE FOR HIGHWAY 10 & COUNTY ROAD 11 INTERSECTION**

🚦 Drivers who travel through Becker Township know the frustration of getting stuck at Highway 10 and County Road 11 when a train rolls through. Sherburne County is working on a proposed solution to improve safety and reduce congestion.

🛣️ **What’s being proposed?**

The county is studying options to separate vehicle traffic from the BNSF railroad tracks. The leading concept involves an interchange that would carry County Road 11 over the railroad and Highway 10, eliminating the at-grade railroad crossing.

⚠️ **Why is this project needed?**
- Frequent trains cause traffic backups and delays.
- The intersection has a higher-than-normal crash rate.
- The intersection serves commuters, truckers, emergency responders and other regional travelers.

💰 **Project cost:** Estimated at $59 million.

🏗️ **Funding:** Sherburne County is seeking a $25 million federal BUILD grant to help pay for the project.

📅 **What’s next?**

Planning and environmental review are expected to wrap up by the end of 2026, positioning the project for future funding and eventual construction.

🚧 **I-94 GAP PROJECT UPDATE: ALBERTVILLE TO MONTICELLO**

The I-94 Gap Project is approaching the finish line! 🛣️

✅ **Three lanes in each direction are now open, for the most part, on the newly constructed permanent six-lane segment between Albertville and Monticello.**

🚧 **What drivers need to know:**

- Crews are finishing work at the east and west ends of the project.
- Temporary crossovers will be removed, and the final third lane in each direction will be completed.
- Expect periodic single-lane closures in both directions as construction wraps up.
- MnDOT expects all work to be completed by **Saturday, November 7**, weather permitting.

🚛 **NEW TRUCK-ONLY TEST LANE NEAR MnROAD**

What is happening to the MnROAD Test Lanes? MnDOT is planning a special truck-only test section along westbound I-94 between Albertville and Monticello as part of the I-94 Gap Project.

🛣️ **How it will work:**

- Westbound traffic will use the new three permanent lanes.
- A future three-mile section near MnROAD will be designated for semi-trailers and trucks only when testing is taking place.
- Trucks will enter the test lane, travel through the testing area, and merge back onto the mainline.
- Signs and gates will guide truck drivers when testing is active.

The MnROAD facility allows researchers to test pavement and highway technologies under real-world conditions.

🚧 **HIGHWAY 25 IS OPENING TODAY!**

Good news for drivers traveling between Buffalo and Monticello!

The Minnesota Department of Transportation (MnDOT) is opening all **seven miles of Highway 25 from Catlin Street in Buffalo to Kjellberg Court in Monticello** today, Friday, October 23.

✅ The detour is being lifted!
🚗 Drivers will be able to travel through the entire stretch of Highway 25.
🚧 Crews will remove the remaining signs and traffic-control devices next week.

🏥 HEALTHCARE MERGER: STELLIS HEALTH & CENTRACARE

Stellis Health, which has served Monticello, Buffalo, and surrounding communities for 75 years, could soon become part of CentraCare.

📅 The proposed integration is targeting January 1, 2027, pending final agreements and regulatory approval.

For now, Stellis clinics will continue operating as usual, and patients can continue seeing their current providers.

After 75 years serving Monticello and Buffalo, Stellis Health is joining CentraCare in a merger expected to close January 2027. Patients will keep seeing their same doctors while the two organizations work through final approvals.
