โผ๏ธBoiling SzeChuan Hotpot- Possibly one of the BEST hot places in the bay!! Read on to check it out and get a discount to try it yourself! ๐ฑ๐
Located in Millbrae (103 El Camino Real Millbrae, CA 94030), Boiling SzeChuan is a new and amazingly delicious HOT POT place that you all should definitely have on your radar to try. It is easily accessible with easy street parking located around the premise, and also a prime location right across from the Millbrae Bart Station.๐๐ป๐ถ๐ถโโ๏ธ๐
The food style is traditional Chinese hotpot, and if you've never had it before its very simple to enjoy. Just place the selected menu items in the boiling broth (spicy, non-spicy, or both with a split bowl!), let it cook, ๅฑฑand eat! ๐๐
I highly recommend the order of food placement in the broth go meat/fishballs, mushrooms/tofu/shrimp/etc., and vegetables/vermicelli/noodles last. This order will really let the broth get flavorful from the meat so its better for the other items placed in afterwards.
You can make yourself a nice dipping sauce at the self-serve sauce station Boiling SzeChuan provides. My favorite mix is sesame paste, sesame oil, soy sauce, green onion, and cilantro with a little bit of broth mixed in for moisture.
FEATURED FAVORTIES TO ORDER:
I HIGHLY recommend ordering the ๐ ๐FISHBALLS. This is one of those rare places that hand makes all their fishballs, and the owner is from a part of China the specializes in them. They're absolutely delicious with the perfect texture. If you're coming here, you HAVE to try them!
The meat selection is great! It's all quality meats and are very thinly sliced making it perfect for hotpot. You just dip it in boiling broth for 10-15 seconds and it should be ready to eat! ๐ฅ๐ฎ๐ท
IF YOU'RE UP FOR A CHALLENGE AND LOVE SPICEY THINGS, order their SPICY BEEF PLATTER. ๐ฑ At first glance, it looks like a plate of hot sauce, but its in reality thin slices of beef coated in hot sauce paste. We've filmed a video of us placing a slice in non- spicy broth to see this hot-pot bath bomb in action.
Vegetables I recommend for hotpot include: mushrooms (the really soak up the flavorful broth), lettuce, Chinese cabbage, Baby Bamboo, Seaweed, and Lotus Root Slices. ๐ฝ๐ฅ๐ฅ
Other things I recommend include the egg tofu, baby cuttlefish๐๐ฆ, shrimp๐ฆ, and pork belly๐ฅ.
