Enjoying a bottle of the 2012 Inaugural Vintage of Imago Mundi Cabernet Sauvignon. It is drinking really well! The fruit is still quite fresh, nice acidity, soft tannins and tertiary aromas and flavors are starting to come out! Perfect to drink now or cellar for a few more years!

Chardonnay grapes from the harvest of our Carneros vineyard in Napa Valley!

Harvest is one of our favorite parts of the wine making process, and despite many challenges, the 2020 Imago Munid Chardonnay is in the tanks and we are very grateful for it!

Thank you to everyone who worked hard during the harvest, we are excited about what 2020 has in store for us!

Yes, I know you were wondering about the amazing labels of our wines and yes, it is a cool story!
Our first wine was the 2012 Cabernet Sauvignon and I asked the amazing artist to paint my adventure and journey into the wine world, and that’s when he came with the perfect balloon in the middle of colorful clouds. Great analogy to the journey into the wine world...let’s see where the wind takes it! Beautiful, right!!
A few years later I was visiting my son in Aberdeen who was studying graphic design at the university, when I saw a beautiful abstract hanging on his wall that he painted. I asked him if I could use it for one of our wines, and since then, it is our Sauvignon Blanc label.
After the success with the Sauvignon Blanc label, we continued working together and he designed our Chardonnay and Pinot Noir labels as digital art pieces with a color palette matching the wines.

When you can’t travel to California to blend the next vintage! Fun time blending the next vintage of Imago Mundi Cabernet Sauvignon 2018! Showing beautifully already with bottling planned for August. Will be in Texas in September with planned release date of April 2021. After several iterations with blind tastings, I landed on the “final” composition to be checked again right before bottling. Thanks to Erling Sokn for helping out! an to master wine maker Steve Reynolds!
