Some places leave you speechless. Others remind you why you fell in love with the outdoors in the first place. 🏔️🌲

From the towering sandstone arches of Utah to the rugged ridgelines of Colorado, the dramatic canyons of Yellowstone, and the hidden trails of Cuyahoga Valley, nature has a way of putting everything into perspective.

Theodore Roosevelt, John Muir, and Edward Abbey understood something that still rings true today: The wilderness isn’t just a place we visit. It’s something we need.

So take the trail less traveled. Chase the view. Get lost in the moment. And never stop exploring.

Happy 136th Birthday, Yosemite National Park! 🏔️🌲
On October 1, 1890, President Benjamin Harrison signed legislation establishing Yosemite as a national park, making it the third national park in the United States. The new park protected much of Yosemite’s surrounding high country, including areas around the upper Merced and Tuolumne watersheds. Yosemite Valley and the Mariposa Grove had already been protected under the groundbreaking Yosemite Grant of 1864 and were later incorporated into the national park. National Park Service

Yosemite has been inspiring hikers, climbers, photographers and conservationists ever since. From Half Dome and El Capitan to Yosemite Falls, giant sequoias and the fleeting glow of Horsetail Fall, few places have shaped America’s idea of wilderness quite like Yosemite.
John Muir became one of Yosemite’s most influential advocates, helping build public support for protecting the landscape. In 1903, he famously spent several days exploring Yosemite with President Theodore Roosevelt, including nights near Mariposa Grove and Glacier Point. National Park Service

As Muir wrote:
“Climb the mountains and get their good tidings. Nature’s peace will flow into you as sunshine into trees.” National Park Service
Here’s to 136 years of Yosemite National Park — and to the millions of adventures, summit moments and stories still to come.
If you’ve been to Yosemite, what’s the one place you’d go back to tomorrow: Half Dome, El Capitan, Yosemite Falls, Glacier Point, or somewhere else? 👇
