It’s funny how a game of chess can feel like a masterclass in staying focused on your intention.
Halfway through a match, I had a realization: I wasn’t actually clear on my objective. I knew I wanted to win (obviously 😅), but I kept getting distracted by the noise on the board — jumping at moves without anchoring to a deeper strategy.
It reminded me of cooking without a recipe — the intention is there, but without a clear plan, it’s easy to lose the thread of what you’re creating.
Clarity is everything — in chess, in cooking, in hosting, in wine, in life.
Now I’m thinking:
1 Define the objective at every stage.
2 Stay focused enough to bring it to life.
Small moves, big impact. 🥂
