The 2025 Covington Apple Fest will be held Saturday, September 27 from 9 am until 5 pm.

We are going to start advertising this now so maybe it will be shared enough that everyone will know. It will also be published in the Apple Fest marketing material.

There will be NO bicycles - including electric bikes and NO pets allowed in the festival area.

This is for the safety of ALL.

Yes, we are aware that many people have service animals or emotional support animals. We welcome everyone to the Apple Fest.

If that’s the case, we will need some type of proof which you may bring that to the information booth located inside the gazebo.

If you have a service animal then of course we will not need proof due to your animal having the proper information in clear view.

Thank you for your cooperation.

If you have questions about these rules we can put you in contact with our festival attorney who will discuss these rules with you.

Congratulations to our Parade Grand Marshal for this Sunday's Golf Cart Parade in honor of Alumni Weekend; Greg Clingan!

Greg graduated from Covington High School 1978. He then went on to attend Indiana State University from 1978 to 1981.

He attended Purdue University where he completed a Life & Health Course in 1979

Continuing education has always been important to Greg Clingan. Some of his other courses he has competed are:

Purdue University: Property & Casualty Course: 1980

Graduated from Indiana College of Auctioneering : 1981

Bill Miller College School of Real Estate: 1984: Indiana Sale License

Bill Miller College School of Real Estate: 1986: Indiana Broker License

Indiana College of Auctioneering: Auction License: 1981

Indiana Real Estate Residential Appraiser License: 1993

Greg Clingan Auction & Real Estate, LLC has conducted over 1000 on-site live auctions since 1981 and has sold over 1000 properties since 1984

Greg also appraises home and farm land for estates, loans, valuation to sell and buy.

More continuing yearly education:

Illinois Auctioneer: 12 Hours every 2 years

Indiana Auctioneer: 12 Hours every 4 years

Indiana broker: 12 Hours annual

Indiana appraiser: 28 Hours every 2 years

Greg Clingan is often seen walking the streets of Covington not only for exercise purposes but it is not uncommon to see him picking up garbage, sweeping the streets, or spraying/pulling weeds.

Greg continuously advocates for the beauty and upkeep of the City of Covington. He said he feels people should take pride in where they live. Greg has certainly never met a stranger and if he doesn't know you right away, he will find some common bond you both share by the end of the conversation.

He is a lifelong resident of Covington with a lot of history behind his last name.

Each year Greg is one of the leaders for the Covington Alumni Weekend. He puts in countless hours volunteering, advocating and promoting the City of Covington.

Greg is married to Pam, and together they share two daughters, Amanda and Hannah.

Amanda is married to Alan and together they share three children; Reis, Remi and Jude who are all also very active in the Covington Community. Greg is quite proud of his entire family and lights up when talking about them. A fun fact: Hannah has followed in her father's footsteps and is a fourth generation auctioneer.

We could go ON and ON about all that Greg does for the community but we will end with these words...

Greg Clingan is THE biggest Covington Community Schools advocate and we are honored to have him leading the golf cart parade this Sunday evening.

Please line the streets of 4th and 5th Streets at 7 pm to wave & say hello and listen for Greg Clingan on the microphone that he is no stranger to.

CONGRATULATIONS, Greg Clingan!

Please line both 4th and 5th Streets. We will be leaving from and ending at the Covington City Park. Don’t have a cart? You’re welcome to join in with a car, motorcycle, ATV, etc.
