On Sunday July 13th we will be hosting our very first Community Swap Meet! If you want to participate, please read below!
No matter how zero-waste our lifestyle, we all have extra stuff cluttering our homes. If you have been looking to participate in a circular economy, and trade, sell, or gift your treasures to keep them out of the waste stream, this is the event for you!
Setup will begin at 8am, spaces are first-come first-serve. 5ft x 5ft space per seller, tables/blankets/sheets recommended for set-up. Please be respectful of the space and our event coordinator’s time and take home any left over items. General recycling will available if needed.
In the spirit of community and sustainability we encourage participants to bring only items that are in good/useable condition, and to maintain accessible pricing and to prioritize giving second life to items.
Ideas for what to bring to the swap meet:
* Books: literature, cookbooks, children’s books, coffee table books
* Clothes and footwear: jeans, sweaters, pajamas, coats, hiking boots, running shoes
* Kitchenware: plates, glasses, utensils, cookware, measuring cups, jars, small appliances, napkins, table cloths, dish towels
* Household goods: tools, seeds, plants, power strips, phone chargers, electronics, camping gear, sporting equipment, tarps, sheets, fabric, notions, picture frames, pet supplies
* Toys: games, puzzles, LEGO, stuffed animals, art supplies, etc.
