BEGINNING JULY 5th

New Summer Hours - Please Read!

Thank you for your continued support of Off the Bottle Refill Shop. We absolutely love being here for you and are thrilled to have just celebrated our 5-Year Anniversary of refill service here in Capitol Hill.

We’re going to make some shop hour adjustments beginning July 5th to allow our team a little more rest. Our mission is to be available for refilling and convenient daily-needs shopping as often and consistently as possible, but we’re realizing that we need a little more time for ourselves, too. Please excuse any inconvenience.

Our summer hours for now will be:

Mon, Wed, Thurs, Fri 11:00-7:00
Saturday & Sunday 10:00 - 6:00
CLOSED TUESDAYS

🚨!!!SOMEONE’S HAVING A BIRTHDAY!!!🚨

5 years! It makes us dizzy to think about. 5 whips around the sun, fillin’ and refillin’.

When we opened Off the Bottle in 2021, we didn’t really know what we were doing. While that hasn’t changed much, we have surely made a lot of friends along the way. The shop is constantly developing - we learn as we go. We create community as we grow. Team work!

Thank you to everyone who has been with us from the beginning all the way to those who have just discovered our space today. Thank you to those who have invested time, energy, and love into OTB. Thank you for choosing us. We couldn’t do it without your support. We couldn’t do it without you.

We’re celebrating our 5 year anniversary this week. It’s both exciting and humbling. If you’re in the area, stop by and say hi!

Another one!! Happy Pride Month! 🏳️‍🌈🏳️‍⚧️

This event is hosted as always by Danni Lavender, our good friend and local textile artist extraordinaire!

Learn stitching, mending, upcycling, and embroidery basics, work on a personal project, and build community.

For this event, bringing your own mending project is a must, standard fabric items, pants, jackets, shirts, etc (preferably no knit or crochet!) If you have patches or fabric you want to use, feel free to bring it with you!

Materials provided by host:

-scrap fabric
-hand sewing tools (needles, thread, etc)
-sewing machine with all tools (thread/ bobbins, etc.)
-pattern sheets for shashiko style mending
-pattern sheets for embroidery
-embroidery thread and needles
-Embroidery hoops
-ironing board + iron
-cutting tools

Tickets are sliding-scale and donation based to cover the cost of materials, but no one is turned away for lack of funds! Tickets are limited to 12 due to space in our shop to give our instructor the opportunity to assist attendees 1-on-1, but this is a monthly event to allow everyone who is interested the opportunity to participate.

Showing a little love to the United States Postal Service. At first, we were unsure about shipping products, but we decided to do it as a way to share non-toxic, low-waste products with anyone who needed them.

However, we only ship with second-hand packing materials, so don’t be surprised if your package says something completely different on the outside or if you find some cute tissue paper wrap or reused packing peanuts on the inside! It’s all love.

Please reuse or recycle the packaging responsibly. 😉👍
