Fun Fact Friday 🍷🥩

Ever heard of Bresaola?
This Italian delicacy is air-dried, cured beef that’s been enjoyed for centuries in Northern Italy. Unlike salami or prosciutto, Bresaola is made from beef, giving it a rich, delicate flavor and buttery texture without being overly heavy.

Fun fact: because Bresaola is lean, savory, and lightly salty, it pairs beautifully with wine — especially lighter reds like Barbera, Pinot Noir, or even a crisp Rosé. The wine’s acidity helps balance the richness while letting those savory flavors shine. 🍷✨

Add some shaved parmesan, arugula, olive oil, and a good bottle of wine, and suddenly your “just a snack” feels very Italian countryside chic. 🇮🇹

What wine would you pair with Bresaola? 👇

💳 Fun Fact Friday — The “Free Vacation” Edition ✈️

Those credit card points, cashback rewards, and free flights? They aren’t actually free.

Every time a small business accepts a card payment, a percentage of that sale goes to processing fees — and those fees help fund the rewards programs people love. In many cases, small businesses pay anywhere from 2–4% per transaction just to accept plastic.

That may not sound like much… until you realize it adds up on every single purchase, every single day.

It’s also why more and more businesses are now adding processing fees to card purchases after years of absorbing the cost themselves. As fees continue to rise, many small businesses simply can’t continue covering 100% of those costs without raising prices across the board.

Some newer businesses — like ours — opened with a shared-processing model already in place, helping split that cost rather than quietly building it into every product price for every customer.

We completely understand the convenience of paying with a card and earning points toward your next getaway. But when you choose cash at a small business, you’re helping more of your money stay local — supporting inventory, events, employees, and helping keep small businesses sustainable. ❤️

So if you’ve ever wondered who helps pay for those “free” vacation points…
Now you know. 😉
