Welcome to L&M Gas & Grocery – A Boone Staple Since 1977

Since 1977, L&M Gas & Grocery has been a trusted stop for the Boone community, first opened by Leo and Marge Fitzgerald with a mission to serve locals with convenience and care. In 2004, Boone native Maribeth Waldman took the reins, enriching the store’s offerings by adding popular features—including the Northern Lights Pizza menu that quickly became a customer favorite.

In 2025, L&M was purchased by Talbarahi LLC, a family-owned business operated by three brothers, who are proudly continuing the traditions that have made the store a community landmark. With a focus on consistent quality and friendly service, Talbarahi LLC is dedicated to preserving what customers love most about L&M.

From reliable fuel and propane to tasty snacks, pizza, and what many call the best ice cream in town, L&M Gas & Grocery is—and always has been—your hometown hub in Boone.

With deep sadness, we remember Ms. Rita Clemens — a truly beautiful soul who always visited with a warm smile, positive energy, and kind heart. Her hugs, laughter, and gentle presence brought joy to everyone around her, and she will be deeply missed by all who had the privilege of knowing her.

May she rest in peace, and may her family and loved ones find strength, comfort, and peace during this difficult time. Our thoughts and prayers are with them.
