This week's Spuddy Buddy update is the last Buddy we have. It is Spudjamin Franklin. He is easily the most popular Spuddy Buddy requested for events through the Treasurer's office. Benjamin Franklin is on the $100 bill for his role in diplomacy during the American Revolutionary War, being one of the signers of the Declaration of Independence and the US constitution; his civic innovations including helping found the first public library in America and the US Postal Service; and his scientific achievements with experimenting with electricity and inventions like the lightening rod. Come visit Spudjamin Franklin and all his Spuddy Buddy friends at the Idaho State Capitol on the 2nd floor East Wing.

This week's Spuddy Buddy update is for a French military officer and politician who volunteered to join the Continental Army under George Washington - Marquis de Lafayette. He is best known as a "Hero of Two Worlds". He became a close ally to George Washington and later played a pivotal role in the French Revolution. Beyond military leadership, he was a staunch advocate for the abolition of slavery, religious tolerance and civil rights for marginalized groups.

Stop by on the East Wing, 2nd floor of the Idaho State Capitol to see him and his buddies!
