Today is a very unique experience. Lying in State is a traditional ceremony where a deceased official is placed in the rotunda of the Capitol building for the public to pay their respects. Today is one of those days. From 10 am today to 10 am tomorrow, former Governor Dirk Kempthorne will be Lying in State. He was Idaho 30th governor from 1999-2006.
We are still having our guided walk-in tour starting at 10:30 am.
