📢 Important Announcement

As many of you may have already heard, today will be the last day that Scotts Ferry General Store & Campground will be open.

We want to sincerely thank each and every one of you who has supported us along the way, whether you stopped in for healthy groceries, stayed at the campground, or simply shared kind words. Your encouragement has meant the world to us.

Unfortunately, the property has not been able to support itself financially, and we’ve made the very difficult decision to close permanently.

We Owe Y’all an Update!

Hey friends, we just wanted to take a minute to say thank you for being patient with us these past couple of weeks. We haven’t been able to place a new inventory order lately, and we know some shelves are looking a little lighter than usual. We are working hard to restock, but it’s taking a little longer than we’d hoped. Growing pains are a real thing for small businesses, and we’re learning as we go!

Also as y’all may have noticed, we don’t have a ton of local products on our shelves yet but we’d love to change that. The challenge right now is that buying in bulk from local makers often means a big upfront cost, while our main distributor allows us to make partial payments.

That said, if you’re a local business who’d like to see your products in our shop, we’d love to work with you on a consignment basis. That way, we can make it work financially, and our community can enjoy even more amazing locally made products.

Thanks again for your understanding, your support, and for helping us grow, we couldn’t do this without you. 💛

We’ve been digging into the history of Scotts Ferry and found a story that goes all the way back to the 1850s, ferries, railroads, timber booms, “The Big Store,” and more than a few floods.

One thing hasn’t changed in all that time: the store has always been the heart of the community. ❤️
