Reward for info leading to arrest or recovery of stolen firewood and racks - $100 cash or $200 in firewood.

First time having firewood stolen. It's especially frustrating since this wood was split in 95 degree heat....

They stole 5 racks of wood from the corner of Moreland and Memorial between 1pm on Friday 9/4/2026 and 7:30 am on Saturday 9/5/2026. If you know anyone with cameras in the area, please reach out. Would love to get a license plate to give the police. I've already filed a police report and begun moving the finished product to a safer location for storage.

You know what bothers me the most though? Why did they take the 5 racks out of the middle? Because they were stacked tightly together, it would have been much easier to start pulling from either end. If you're going to steal, at least do it efficiently...

Solar kiln finished wood hitting 16% moisture content. The system definitely works! Thanks to Hometownacres for the inspiration

Big thanks to Dad's Tree Care Inc. for the fresh load of Post Oak! 🪵
We’re planning to split it small so it seasons fast — could be ready by spring. Post oak burns clean and slow, and it’s perfect for cooking beef, pork, or chicken over open fire or in a smoker.

🔥 First video of the season just dropped — check it out:

Just received a big load of Hickory from Dad's Tree Care Inc. This won't be seasoned until next winter but it's going to make some awesome cooking wood!

I know it's the middle of winter but I'm already looking forward to spring and backyard firepit season. We'll be upgrading the roadside stand soon and offering a wider selection of firewood options. Here is the price list. Right now the only thing we are selling are bundles of mixed hardwood and racks of mixed hardwood

We have dry, seasoned bundles of wood back in stock at the roadside stand!!! $ 8/ bundle or 3 bundles for $20 for seasoned mixed hardwood.

Buying wood has been a lot harder than I expected. This is our first year running the stand and sold out of our seasoned wood much sooner than I would have guessed (shortly after Christmas). As a result, we've had to buy wood from bulk distributors. My first lesson in buying wood is that there are a lot of scammers on FB marketplace

If you're buying wood from someone, you should:

1) Not pay in advance unless it's a reputable company you've worked with before. You should see the truck in your driveway before making a payment.

2) Test the wood. Split it open and use a moisture meter to test how dry it is. Seasoned wood should contain less than 20% moisture content. If you have a really good firewood supplier, they probably carry a moisture meter with them on deliveries in case you want to check before making payment.
