We’re planning to split it small so it seasons fast — could be ready by spring. Post oak burns clean and slow, and it’s perfect for cooking beef, pork, or chicken over open fire or in a smoker.

Just received a big load of Hickory from Dad's Tree Care Inc. This won't be seasoned until next winter but it's going to make some awesome cooking wood!

I know it's the middle of winter but I'm already looking forward to spring and backyard firepit season. We'll be upgrading the roadside stand soon and offering a wider selection of firewood options. Here is the price list. Right now the only thing we are selling are bundles of mixed hardwood and racks of mixed hardwood

We have dry, seasoned bundles of wood back in stock at the roadside stand!!! $ 8/ bundle or 3 bundles for $20 for seasoned mixed hardwood.

Buying wood has been a lot harder than I expected. This is our first year running the stand and sold out of our seasoned wood much sooner than I would have guessed (shortly after Christmas). As a result, we've had to buy wood from bulk distributors. My first lesson in buying wood is that there are a lot of scammers on FB marketplace

If you're buying wood from someone, you should:

1) Not pay in advance unless it's a reputable company you've worked with before. You should see the truck in your driveway before making a payment.

2) Test the wood. Split it open and use a moisture meter to test how dry it is. Seasoned wood should contain less than 20% moisture content. If you have a really good firewood supplier, they probably carry a moisture meter with them on deliveries in case you want to check before making payment.
